Leonardo DiCaprio To End Up ‘Miserable And Alone?’

Leonardo DiCaprio has enjoyed one successful year so far since the release of his most recent hit film, The Revenant. The 41-year-old heartthrob impressed onscreen with his portrayal of a vengeful fur-trapper seeking to kill the man who took the life of his son. Although Leo looks a tad disheveled and not his usual well-groomed self in the film, his acting has proven that he is more than just a pretty face. The actor has already won the award for Best Actor at this year’s BAFTA Awards, as well as at the Golden Globes, and he is, likewise, in the running for the same title at the Oscars.

DiCaprio has earned himself a reputation as one tremendous actor over the decades he has been in the industry and has managed to star in roles that are always entirely different from any that may come before it. He also earns glowing reviews with every film due to his performances along with his versatility.

The star has also recently earned himself a bit of a reputation as a playboy and wandering bachelor. The Daily Mail shared a bit of an assessment recently about Leo’s character and his ever-changing female companions. The viewpoint provided comes courtesy of Jan Moir, a columnist for the publication, and is somewhat cutting yet poignant all the same.

“For at the age of 41, Leonardo DiCaprio has become Hollywood’s number one toxic bachelor, its biggest lothario and most wretchedly dedicated modeliser. His carnal appetite seems to be incorrigible, his taste in women immutable. His famous preference is for box-fresh blondes aged 25 and under — usually lingerie models, but any random glamourpuss will do at a pinch. He replaces this much-loved prototype as frequently as some men change their socks.”

Moir carries on to describe Leo’s alleged habits of sharing his time with a variety of women over the course of any given week, and she hones in on DiCaprio’s behavior following the BAFTA show, noting that the actor spent time with Laura Whitmore, a television presenter who was in attendance of the show, and also invited a number of others back to his hotel suite.

The following evening DiCaprio allegedly partied with 24-year-old lingerie model Roxy Horner who also got the invite back to Leo’s suite that night. The Mirror actually claimed that the star partied four nights straight while in London for the event. This date-by-date behavior is, however, all new since the star split from his swimsuit model girlfriend of six months, 26-year-old Kelly Rohrbach. Moir notes that “Their break-up came shortly before the blonde swimsuit model celebrated her 26th birthday. Coincidence or strategy?”

Many would explain Leo’s long list of lady-friends and his non-stop partying ways as being acceptable for a multimillionaire who has the funds, looks, and reputation in Hollywood. However, Moir quickly points out the fact that being 21 and carrying on in the same particular way is expected, but at 41, it all seems a tad bit sad, and the columnist draws attention to an older well-known bachelor who has wound up alone and without the harem of women that he once had.

“If Leo is not careful, he will end up like Jack Nicholson, the former wolfish Romeo who now rattles around his big Hollywood house on Mulholland Drive, watching box-sets and DVDs alone with no one to fuss over him in his twilight years. “

Despite his alleged party boy ways and his inability to commit for the long haul to any sort of meaningful union, DiCaprio has certainly earned his place as one of Hollywood’s leading men and highest paid actors.
