‘Teen Mom’ Maci Bookout Reveals Baby Names, Wedding Plans, & More
Teen Mom OG star Maci Bookout recently announced that she was pregnant with her third child. The MTV reality personality is now opening up about all the big things in her life, including naming her unborn baby, finding out about the surprising pregnancy, and her wedding to boyfriend Taylor McKinney.
According to MTV News, Maci Bookout has been giving some serious thought to what she and Taylor McKinney will be naming their new little bundle of joy. The pregnant Teen Mom OG star revealed that she and her fiance are expecting a baby boy in May and have two names picked out.
“The first one is Connor Reid, and the second one is Maverick Reid. I like Maverick, and Taylor likes Connor,” Maci Bookout revealed.
So it looks like Bentley Cadence and Jayde Carter will get a little brother with an equally cool name to fit in with the rest of the family.
Meanwhile, Maci Bookout says she’s shocked to have to be thinking of baby names at all, and she reveals that her latest pregnancy was not planned. However, she is very excited about having another little boy in her house. The Teen Mom reveals that she was stunned when she learned she was pregnant again, and she actually found out the big news while at the doctor to get her birth control.
“I was at the doctor, ironically, to get my birth control prescription refilled! I laughed at her! I mean, she’s the doctor that delivered Jayde, so I was like, ‘Ha ha, that’s a funny joke — but it’s not really that funny!’ And she was like, ‘No, seriously!’ And I was like, ‘Oh, OK — well, give me 10 minutes to not freak out… You’re wrong. You’ve got the wrong results, you mixed them up.’ But no, she was serious!”
Maci Bookout also revealed to Us Weekly that she wasn’t the only person completely taken aback by the big pregnancy bombshell, adding that telling her friends, family, and others close to her has been interesting. Maci even joked that she’s going to have “Irish twins,” which is an old term used for when a woman has two children born within the same year. Bookout has announced that she’s due on May 30, just one day after her daughter Jayde’s first birthday.
“Everyone is shocked,” she says. “I mean, even we were completely speechless, and every time I shared the news with someone, I said, ‘OK, are you sitting down?’ And then I said, ‘Feel free to say ‘holy s–t’ or congratulations because both are fine.’ Because that’s pretty much how I’ve been the whole time!”
As for having any more children in the future, Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney may be done in that department, as the Teen Mom star says she’s already thinking ahead about how to prevent any more future pregnancies.
“There are going to be some permanent birth control decisions made immediately after birth,” she explained.
While all this is going on, Maci is also planning her wedding to Taylor. The couple have reportedly decided that they want to wed in October, the same month that her Teen Mom OG co-star Amber Portwood has decided to marry her fiance Matt Baier, and since the baby is due in May, Bookout won’t be pregnant on her wedding day. She’ll even have over four months to recover from childbirth and learn to be a mother of three before officially tying the knot with McKinney. Since Maci’s post-baby body bounced back quickly two times before, we’re fully expecting her to look fabulous at her wedding.
