Phaedra Parks Denies Bringing Up Gay Rumors On ‘Real Housewives’

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks may be a single mother of two children, a lawyer, and a business woman, but apparently, she’s also known as a pot stirrer these days. Phaedra made headlines over the weekend, because she may have leaked Kenya Moore’s pregnancy. In addition, she revealed that her divorce is moving forward fast, predicting it would be over in about 45 days. And now, she’s backtracking on the gay rumors that surfaced during Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. According to a new Bravo report, Phaedra Parks is now passing the blame, saying that she wasn’t the one who started the rumors about Kim Fields’ husband.

The rumors surfaced during a conversation the ladies had while in Jamaica. On the show, it looked like Kenya Moore and Phaedra had fun questioning Kim’s husband Chris, but Parks is now revealing that she didn’t do so with the intention of spreading gay rumors. In fact, Phaedra claims she doesn’t question his sexuality.

“Chris is a very nice man who, as far as I can tell, is a good husband and father. My comments were not based on his sexuality but instead the witty bantering that he and I always enjoy when we are together,” Phaedra revealed in her Bravo blog.

Parks doesn’t pass the blame onto Kenya Moore directly, but she’s definitely trying to clear her own name. Maybe she doesn’t want a bad reputation and maybe she doesn’t want a troubled relationship with Kim and her husband. But if she hadn’t brought it up originally, Kenya may not have brought up the gay accusations. Regardless of this drama, Parks had an awesome time on the trip and she enjoyed working on the commercial for Cynthia Bailey’s eyewear collection.

“We had a wonderful time filming the commercial. We all enjoyed ourselves and had fun being together. Kim was very organized and clearly had a great command of her craft, so we all felt like we were a part of something that was successful,” Phaedra Parks reveals about working on the commercial in Jamaica, adding about Porsha Williams and Oliver, “Yes; they offered me a threesome of fun and laughter. I graciously accepted and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.”

Even though Phaedra Parks may be able to talk her way out of this drama, she may not be able to do the same with the pregnancy story she dished while on Dish Nation recently. It is no secret that Kenya really wants a baby. She has hinted that she wants to do IVF to get pregnant, despite being in a relationship with a man named Matt. And while Kenya may be carrying a baby, she may want to announce this news herself. Instead, Phaedra Parks decided to gossip about it on a radio show and took that pleasure away from her co-star, according to St. L American.

“Honey, I did hear that one of her NON best friends might be having a bundle of joy, so maybe she can be the godmother,” Phaedra revealed recently during a radio interview, to which the host asked, “Is this person named after a country?” Parks didn’t deny the story, adding, “I think so, and some coffee. And she peddles around in sperm banks.”

If Parks wants to keep her relationships healthy on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, she needs to respect people’s privacy and not gossip about her co-stars, including Kenya’s possible pregnancy. Surely, this is something completely unforgivable.

What do you think of Phaedra Parks stepping away from the gay rumors? Are you surprised that she isn’t taking responsibility for the drama that will only escalate next week?
