Forbes Releases List of Highest Paid Chefs

Gordon RamsayOnly one can stand at the top of the Forbes list of richest U.S. chefs.  This year that celebrity chef is Hell’s Kitchen’s own Gordon Ramsay.  With  23 restaurants world-wide and few television shows under his belt, Ramsay had a global income of more than $38 million dollars this year alone.

Ramsay is getting back on his feet after some serious tax problems caused him to lose a great deal of his personal wealth this year’s income should certainly help him get back to form.

The top three are rounded out by Rachel Ray with $25 million dollars and Wolfgang Puck at $20 million dollars.  Ray not only appears on multiple television shows but she has a long line of personalized products which help her to amass her fortune.  Wolfgang Puck had restaurants in every destination town and in some he has multiple restaurants.  His restaurants in Las Vegas and Atlantic City are choice destinations of the world’s richest gamblers.

Food Network has produced its share of multi-millionaires on its airwaves,  Mario Batali and Bobby Flay and Guy Fieri have all made the top ten this week.  All have signature shows on Food Network with the exception of Mario Batali. Batlali was a featured chef on the hit series Iron Chef but left after disagreements with the show’s producers.

2: Rachael Ray, $25 million
3: Wolfgang Puck, $20 million
4: Paula Deen, $17 million
5: Mario Batali, $13 million
6: Alain Ducasse, $12 million
7: Todd English, $11 million
8: Nobu Matsuhisa, $10 million
9: Bobby Flay, $9 million
10: Guy Fieri, $8 million
