Kylie Jenner Signs On With Puma Despite Kanye West Protests - Will Kim Kardashian Play Peacekeeper Over Adidas-Puma Rift?

Kylie Jenner Signs On With Puma Despite Kanye West Twitter Protest – Will Kim Kardashian Play Peacekeeper Over Adidas-Puma Rift?

Kylie Jenner is definitely making sure fans know that she is her own person. It didn’t take long after Kanye West declared on Twitter that there was no way his sister-in-law would be signing a deal with Puma, but Kylie must not have been listening because the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star did just that. Will Kylie and Kanye battle it out over shoe brands or will Kim Kardashian come to the rescue and try to keep peace in the family?

Kylie’s deal with Puma is official and at this point, there’s nothing Kanye can do about it. On Wednesday, Adam Petrick, Global Director of Brand and Marketing for Puma released a statement about the partnership. “I am pleased and excited to be able to confirm that PUMA is indeed working with Kylie Jenner. Kylie will be featured in the brand’s Spring/Summer women’s training campaign launching in April 2016. Kylie represents a fresh and exciting new era for fashion and we couldn’t think of a more fitting and influential female to headline this campaign for PUMA.”

Kylie’s new deal with Puma is definitely going to upset Kanye West. It was just days ago that Kanye tweeted, “1000% there will never be a Kylie Puma anything. That’s on my family! 1000% Kylie is on Yeezy team!!!,” he tweeted last week, adding, “Puma we gone give you your measly million dollars back!!! Never try to divide the family!!!”

It turns out that Kanye may have tweeted his reaction to Kylie Jenner’s Puma deal a bit too late. TMZ reported that Kylie and Kanye have talked it out post-Puma deal and the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star couldn’t back out of her Puma deal without a lawsuit. Kylie did have the foresight to get permission in her Puma contract to keep on rocking her Adidas though. Kylie may be making a way for herself with other companies, but she proved that the Kardashian family loyalty is fierce and Kylie insisted she is able to wear Adidas shoes so she can still support Kanye’s Yeezy brand.

Kylie may be making a way for herself with other companies, but she proved that the Kardashian family loyalty is fierce and insisted she be able to rep Kanye’s shoe brand of choice whenever she wanted. Jenner proved her loyalty by rocking multiple pairs of Adidas shoes during New York Fashion Week in support of Kanye West and his Yeezy Season 3 fashion show.

To make Kylie’s deal with Puma a little easier for Kanye to swallow, Kim Kardashian’s little sister reportedly reminded Kanye that she has only signed on with Puma for six months. He shouldn’t be too mad anyway since his “sister” Rihanna also reps Puma and has done very well designing her very own line of Puma footwear.

After Kanye West tweeted that Kylie Jenner would definitely not be doing anything with Puma, many fans wondered if the rapper really would buy out her contract. Considering his new claims of being $53 million in debt, it seems like Kanye might have a hard time freeing up the cash. Thankfully, Kylie’s deal with Puma is solid and Kanye can’t get in the middle of it. Despite Kylie’s option with Puma to continue wearing Adidas footwear, will Kanye West still be upset that she didn’t clear the deal with him first?

Will Kim Kardashian be forced to smooth things out with her youngest sister and her husband? Fans want to know how this will all play out and whether or not Kylie Jenner’s new Puma contract is going to start waves within the Kardashian family. It seems that signing on with any shoe company aside from Adidas might cause problems for Kanye West because, as he recently tweeted, he’s so loyal and thankful to them for allowing him so much creative freedom with his Yeezy brand. Thank goodness Kylie didn’t sign on with Nike because that probably would have turned into a full Kardashian family war with Kanye West at the helm and Kim Kardashian frantically trying to make peace.
