Julianne Hough Out, Len Goodman In: Big Changes To Judges’ Panel On Season 22 Of ‘Dancing With The Stars’

The judges’ panel will be changing again for season 22 of Dancing With The Stars. It seems that someone was listening to all the complaints about Julianne Hough judging while her brother Derek Hough competes in the hit ABC reality competition. People reported that Hough will be leaving the panel after judging for seasons 20 and 21 to make room for fan favorite Len Goodman.

“I will miss being on the panel for Season 22, but have a lot of exciting stuff coming that I look forward to sharing,” Hough told People. “The pro dancers, producers and crew at DWTS will always be my family.”

With Julianne Hough’s departure as a judge, the panel will revert back to the original three judges. Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tolioni will be joined again by Len Goodman. Len reportedly left the ABC hit during season 21 because of a busy filming schedule but is now ready to return to his judge seat. Hough judged alongside Inaba, Tolioni, and Goodman during season 20. According to IMDB, Hough has no pending film projects but did recently complete Grease Live and Dirty Grandpa.

Could Julianne Hough have been removed as a judge because Dancing With The Stars wanted to return to their original three judges? Hough won’t be a part of Dancing With The Stars for season 22, but she did tell fans not to count her out for season 23. “I promise it’s not the last you’ll see of me in the ballroom,” Hough also told People. “I will miss being on the panel for season 22, but have a lot of exciting stuff coming that I look forward to sharing.” Will Julianne come back to dance or to judge in upcoming seasons?

Fans of Julianne have already begun to complain about her exit from DWTS and eagerly anticipate news of her upcoming projects. Many are taking comfort in at least one Hough being on the stage in season 22. Certainly Derek Hough will be back to defend his reigning status as mirror ball trophy winner from season 21 with his partner Bindi Irwin.

It was also recently reported that Scott Disick might join the DWTS cast for season 22. It turns out that Disick won’t be dancing but not because both parties weren’t interested. It turns out that Scott wanted $500k to compete, an amount that Dancing With The Stars isn’t willing to pay. If Scott had signed up for the ABC dancing competition, he wouldn’t be the first from the Kardashian family to make their ballroom debut. Both Kim Kardashian and her brother Rob Kardashian have strapped on their dancing shoes for previous seasons of Dancing With The Stars. There were even some pretty heavy rumors last season that Caitlyn Jenner might have been throwing her name in the hat for the ABC show but that never became a reality either.

Demi Moore, Nick Carter, Alexa Vega, and Jodie Sweetin are all rumored to be joining season 22 of Dancing With The Stars. Sweetin recently said in an interview that a spot on the dancing show would be “really fun.” DWTS is set to debut season 22 on Monday, March 21. Until then. there will be a lot of speculation about who might be signing on to dance for the mirror ball trophy. Now that we know who the judges’ panel will be, who would you like to see sign on to compete for the mirror ball trophy in season 22 of Dancing With The Stars?
