Farrah Abraham Encourages 6-Year-Old Daughter To Model
Farrah Abraham, the controversial Teen Mom, has relayed that her daughter Sophia, 6 years, has shown a definite interest in modelling, especially with New York Fashion Week underway. Abraham took her mini me to a show and apparently the little one saw a bit of a future while she was in awe at the models walking down the runway. The Teen Mom star spoke with Us Weekly about the manner that her daughter reacted to the experience at the shows.
“This is Sophia’s first Fashion Week. She’s like, ‘Mom, I want to do this more and I want to do more modeling.'”
Sophia was actually intending to walk the catwalk for one of the fashion week’s kids shows, but unfortunately, the 6-year-old was a no-show at the rehearsals, which meant she was unable to walk at the actual event. Us Weekly shares as to Sophia’s involvement in the show.
“The 6-year-old had planned to walk the runway but flew in from Austin, Texas that morning and wasn’t able to make the rehearsals. But she still got her moment in front of the camera. Before taking their front-row seats, Sophia—clad in ivory shorts and a matching jacket by Susanna Paliotta— posed for pictures as her mama watched proudly.”
Farrah relayed how Sophia’s naturally professional demeanor makes her perfect for the industry.
“Sophia is really professional. I’m not surprised because I know how well behaved my daughter is and I’m so thankful. Bless me!”
Although judgement is often passed on mothers who involve their young daughters in the modelling and pageant world at a young age, Farrah shares that she encourages but in no way forces her daughter to do anything she is not fully excited about partaking in.
“If my daughter says she doesn’t like something, I don’t do it. It’s up to Sophia.”
The comment was potentially intended as a slight dig to matriarch to the Jenner/Kardashian clan, Kris Jenner. Farrah has, after all, been known to start feuds with some of the biggest names in the business. One such example involves the blossoming model from the Jenner household, Kendall Jenner. Farrah dissed Kendall over a Twitter when Kendall sided with Nicki Minaj during a heated feud between the rapper and model. Abraham stoked the fire, needless to say.
Wonderwall relays the basis of the feud between the Teen Mom and Minaj.
“Most of the beef between Farrah and Nicki centered on how the mother of one treated her mom in an episode of ‘Teen Mom.’ Most of their barbs aren’t fit for print. ‘She was like b—- go do some porn & leave gramma alone. Nicki said, following it with another tweet saying, ‘Stop talking to her like that like…’ Nicki, though, continued the tweet by using an incredibly defamatory term toward Farrah.”
Farrah responded to the negative remarks directed at her by Minaj. not backing down in the slightest from the intimidating rapper.
“Farrah didn’t take the criticism well, tweeting back at Nicki, ‘Cause your parent right? Your videos look like porn. Horrible good luck being negative #Godbless busy making TV.’ At New York Fashion Week, Farrah refused to apologize for the social media sparring.”
Abraham then stood up for her response to the rapper noting that she won’t back down when an argument involves motherhood and “social justice.”
“I’m just about social justice. Amen to women like me!”
The 24-year-old clearly has a strength that has been produced by being a mother from such a young age and also has the right attitude about supporting her daughter’s dreams and aspirations.
