Is Selena Gomez Dating Taylor Swift’s Brother, Austin? She’s Single After Splitting From Samuel Krost
Selena Gomez and her best friend, Taylor Swift, attended Monday night’s Grammy Awards together, and after the show, fans wondered if Selena Gomez could soon strike up a romance with Swift’s brother, Austin. According to a new report, Selena Gomez was seen getting close to Austin, which may be a sign of a future romance.
“[Selena Gomez] deserves a guy that’s going to treat her like a queen, and [Justin Bieber] just isn’t ready to step up to the plate yet. He had his shot, and he blew it. So now, it’s time for someone else to move in and sweep [Selena Gomez] off her feet. And what better man than Taylor’s brother?” Hollywood Life writer Christopher Rogers asked readers on February 16.
While Selena Gomez appeared to be in an on-and-off relationship with Samuel Krost, a close friend of Gigi Hadid, just weeks ago, she has since confirmed that she is now single. During Monday’s appearance at the Grammy Awards, Selena Gomez spoke briefly to Ryan Seacrest, revealing she and her girl friends spent Valentine’s Day together by grabbing dinner and hanging out at her house. And while Seacrest noted her holiday as “sad,” according to MTV News, Selena Gomez denied any sign of sadness, and also revealed her Grammys date as Taylor Swift.

In a second report on February 15 by Bustle, details regarding Selena Gomez’s now-ended relationship with Krost were given.
In November, nearly three years removed from her highly talked about romance with Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and Krost stepped out for a dinner date in New York City, where Selena Gomez was seen sitting on the lap of Krost as they laughed and held hands. However, while the two appeared to be in a relationship at the time, Selena Gomez was later spotted in Beverly Hills, California, with Bieber, and in Santa Monica, California, with Niall Horan.
Following rumors years prior, Selena Gomez stepped out for a date with Horan at the Santa Monica Pier, and was also spotted with the One Direction singer at the birthday party of Jenna Dewan Tatum. Then, weeks later, it was reported that the romance between Selena Gomez and Horan had faded due to their busy schedules.

“Niall is happy to wait and not have her worry about things and if they hang out and hook up again he will be OK with the friends with benefits things as well,” a source told Hollywood Life. “He is really taking things very well and believing it will all work out to his advantage in the long run. So they are not dating right now but it is certainly not out of the woods in the future.”
“If it can only be a friendship right now he is happy with that moving forward. Niall believes that something can happen with [Selena Gomez] once they have better schedules to see each other more often.”
After the buzz surrounding Selena Gomez’s romance with Horan died down, the 23-year-old singer seemed to confirm she was giving her romance with Krost another shot when the rumored couple stepped out in Los Angeles for a date, and traveled to New York City together days later. Still, just like the time prior, things between them seemed to go nowhere, and since they were seen in the Big Apple with friends in January, there has been no sign of the potential couple.
Selena Gomez will embark on her upcoming world tour in May.
