Virgin Australia’s Twitter Tells Kanye West To ‘Eat A D**k’ After New Album ‘The Life of Pablo’ Is Self-Reviewed
Kanye West’s new album The Life of Pablo may have some people wanting to stab a pitchfork into their ears, but the Virgin Australia Twitter account went way beyond what you would expect from an official social media account and told Kanye to “eat a d**k.” The insult was pretty much the mic drop moment for the internet, with the incident going viral all over.
The incident started yesterday when Kanye tried to claim his new album The Life of Pablo deserved a 30 out of 10 score.

Needless to say, many on social media found the self review of The Life of Pablo to be fairly amusing, with some noting that Kanye’s grasp of math probably explains how he managed to become so far in debt. While most people proceeded to mock Kanye for this Twitter review, the official Virgin Australia Twitter account decided to up the ante by calling him a “douche” and telling him to EAD (Eat A D**k).
As might be expected, the insulting tweet went viral, but Virgin Australia was quick to delete the offending message as soon as management noticed something was amiss. They also issued a very brief statement on their account apologizing to Kanye for the incident.
“A recent tweet on our account was not published by a Virgin Australia employee and we are investigating the matter,” the Tweet said. “We apologize for any offence caused.”
Due to the vagueness of the message, some speculate that Virgin Australia’s Twitter account may have been hacked. It is also theorized that someone with access to the Virgin Australia Twitter account may have accidentally forgotten to log into their personal account before tweeting out the offensive message.

Interestingly enough, there seems to be an epidemic of official business Twitter accounts tweeting out insults directed at Kanye West. According to The Drum, the official General Electric Twitter account was spotted linking to an article on the Guardian along with this message.
“A game of a**holes: Kanye West claims to be $53m in debt, and asks Mark Zuckerberg for help,” stated the General Electric Twitter account before it was taken down.
If you are just now catching up on the Kanye drama train wreck, that message would be referring to this tweet.

Even though this type of attention is negative attention, what it means is that people are talking about Kanye’s new album. While Kanye may have claimed he is $53 million in debt, some sources have claimed he is simply using alternative means to grab the world’s attention.
“Kanye is not $53 million in debt. He has several businesses and investments, from his clothing line to restaurants to music worth millions. He is a master in marketing and is doing everything he can to generate interest in his album, Tidal and his clothing line,” the source told Hollywood Life. “From claiming Bill Cosby is innocent, to dissing Taylor Swift, to suggesting that he’s running for president and making wild claims about being in debt, Kanye is doing exactly what he set out to do — create tremendous buzz and interesting in his business endeavors. He will make millions and millions more from all this attention.”
