Grammys 2016 Worst Dressed Really Outdid Themselves This Time — Brace Yourself

Aside from the winners, the list of the Grammys’ worst-dressed attendees is probably the most anticipated list of the awarding ceremony.

Every year, there’s a number of daring artists who step on the red carpet wearing “barely there” outfits to grab the attention of photographers. Manika was one of this year’s attendees who wore an interesting number that left little to the imagination.

The 22-year-old singer came to the Grammys wearing a weird sheer dress exposing her bare bottom for everyone to see. The Mirror described the singer’s belly dancing-inspired outfit “as the most attention-seeking dress ever.” Her little see-through dress was reportedly handmade by designer Arthur Christine.

Manika showed off her figure and bare butt in a photo she posted on Twitter. The singer admitted she felt “sexy” in her skimpy outfit.

Responding to her critics, Manika said, “Love me or hate me, I’ve still got you talking.”

When someone joked she forgot to get dressed, the singer gave a witty reply, stating, “Really?! OMG! You’re right… I must have forgotten my clothes at home. I didn’t realize until you told me.”

However, Manika was not the only one who risked being called a fashion victim for the sake of publicity. Lady Gaga, who is known for her weird outfits on her music videos and gigs, did not disappoint when she graced the red carpet with her eccentric style. She sported a bright orange hairdo, bright blue eyeshadow, a royal blue dress that looked like a long blazer, and a pair of huge killer heels.

Z Lala was also a head-turner at the 58th Grammy Awards; she arrived wearing a spider-inspired dress complete with an elaborate headdress made of handmade whips.

Skylar Grey arrived at the red carpet wearing an eye-catching black semi-sheer number with faces printed on the bust and pelvic area.

Jacqueline Van Bierk from Otto’s Daughter outshone other stars on the Grammys Worst Dressed list, with her superhero-inspired dress with the black cape and the black armbands.

Manika’s bare bottom seemed amateurish compared to Joy Villa, who believes in the adage “dare to bare.” On the other hand, Dencia hit the red carpet wearing a pink jumpsuit with lots of Hello Kitties and shiny studs attached to it. She paired it with a pair of bedazzled high-heeled shoes.

Swedish songstress Tove Lo slipped into her lacy black dress and became the subject of criticism for her dangling septum ring.

Taylor Swift has been taking the sexy and revealing route lately, and this night was no exception. She wore a red-orange tube top and bright pink skirt with a high center slit. She may not have looked like her usual stylish self, but Swift was still able to flaunt her slender figure without looking tacky.

The beautiful Kasey Musgraves attempted to wear something modest, but critics did not forgive her gown for the night, which, according to the Sun, “bore a striking resemblance to a Mexican piñata.”

Indeed, this year’s Grammys worst-dressed list showcased the “unique” side of our beloved artists, but despite their efforts to steal the show, some people did not have to wear such outrageous outfits that only made them one of the Grammys worst dressed.

Adele was one of the best-dressed artists that night, opting for an all-black floor-length Givenchy gown. Singer Ellie Goulding was also stunning in her pastel pink Stella McCartney gown. Model Bella Hadid may have shown some skin, but she did it with style and class. She came to the Grammys as The Weeknd’s date, wearing a black dress with a plunging neckline. They are just some of the best-dressed stars that night.
