The 2012 Emmy Nominations Are In And The Nominees Are…


The Emmy nominations of 2012 have been put in the books and a smattering of new faces will appear with the superstars of old.

The hit Showtime series “Homeland” starring Claire Danes entered with a bang, pun intended, being nominated for Outstanding Drama series and Lead Actor.

“Downton Abbey” was nominated in the Drama Series category, Lead Actor, Lead Actress, two nominations in the Supporting Actress category and two in the Supporting Actor category, making a whopping total of seven.

The edgy HBO series “Girls” picked up nominations in the Comedy Series category and series creator Lena Dunham picked up a nomination for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
