‘Need For Speed Rivals’ Whopping 75% Discount Available This Week Via Xbox Live Deals With Gold

Two of the most successful racing video game franchises are included in this week’s Xbox Live Deals with Gold promotion. For instance, Need For Speed titles and add-ons are on sale until February 22.

Major Nelson recently revealed the list of discounted games this week through Microsoft’s Xbox Live Deals with Gold promo. One of the highlights of the current gaming deals is the massive markdown given to Need for Speed Rivals. Particularly, the list posted on the website revealed that the 2013 open-world video game will be 75 percent cheaper this week for gamers with subscription to Xbox Live Gold.

Having an original price tag of $19.99, Xbox Live Gold members can now obtain their own Xbox 360 copy of Need for Speed Rivals via a Deals with Gold promo for only $4.99. The racing game is set in Redview County, a place “where a street-racing rivalry between cops and racers never stops as both sides compete in an all-out war featuring the fastest cars, mods and technology in a gritty open road environment,” the game’s page on Xbox Marketplace described.

Players of Need for Speed Rivals have the option to take the role of either a racer or a cop. Each side “has its own set of high stakes challenges, rewards and consequences,” it added.

Meanwhile, Xbox One users with Gold subscription can have Need for Speed Rivals: Complete Edition with a 67 percent discount from its regular pricing of $30. Check out the launch trailer for the game, which was originally posted on Need for Speed‘s official YouTube channel:

For NFS fans who already have the full Rivals game and are just shopping for add-ons, Need for Speed Rivals: Complete Edition Bundle Pack for Xbox 360 is also on sale. This pack includes the six expansions released for the game, namely the Ferrari Edition Special Complete Pack, Concept Lamborghini Complete Pack, Simply Jaguar Complete Pack, Complete Movie Pack, Loaded Garage Pack and The Koenigsegg Agera One, according to Gamespot.

Aside from Need for Speed, this week’s Xbox Live Deals with Gold are also bringing in discounts for another popular racing video game, the 2013 installment for Forza Motorsport. A forty percent discount is specifically provided for Forza Motorsport 5: Racing Game of The Year Edition for Xbox Live Gold members.

This edition, according to Xbox Store, features a new graphics engine, tons of recreated vehicles, a cloud-powered gameplay and offers a multiplayer mode which allow up to 16 players. As described in the page, Forza Motorsport 5 is the “ultimate car fantasy.”

Other Xbox One titles currently on sale this week are various editions of EA Sports’ American football video game based on National Football League. These are Madden NFL 16, Madden NFL 16 Deluxe: Season Edition, and Madden NFL 16 Super Deluxe: Season Edition, with 50, 40, and 30 percent discounts, respectively.
