Grammys 2016 Fashions From Glamorous To Oh No

The 2016 Grammy Awards have a show all their own on the red carpet, and unlike the Oscars and other awards, the Grammy Awards are a bit more, well, rock n roll than the other shows, and the hits and misses are a bit more glaring than the other red carpets. At the Grammy Awards, less is more seems only to apply to the amount of fabric and the percentage of the body covered by an outfit.

But this does not stop designers from rising to the occasion and trying to make their mark with singers and songwriters. E Online is a major red carpet host, asking the all-important question “Who are you wearing?” of those who are arriving for the event. Taylor Swift, who never disappoints, came in an Atelier Versace long skirt and crop top with a serious leg slit. She arrived with BFF Selena Gomez. Swift shared a photo pf Gomez on Instagram.

“No big deal just rolled up with the hottest date. @selenagomez #grammys,” she wrote.

Swift posed for photos after winning the award for Best Music Video for “Bad Blood.”

Hollywood Life revealed that making a scene on the red carpet is not just for women, as the men need to step out of cookie-cutter fashion, especially at the Grammy Awards.

“Seriously, how hot are these music men? The most handsome musicians in the world came together in one place, lucky for us, to attend the 2016 Grammy Awards on February 15! Mixing classic ensembles and crazy cool duds, stars like Jack Antonoff and Sam Hunt made us absolutely swoon!”

No plain black tuxes for this show, but great color combinations, even on the men are a stand-out.

“We’re swooning over incredible soul singer Leon Bridges. This sexy singer opted for wearing a bolo tie with his tux, and while that sounds a little odd, he looked the furthest thing from country! He paired it with straight-legged slacks and a very dreamy smile. Perfect! Sam managed to make a cotton candy pink suit look manly as hell! That’s not easy to do! It really helps that he has a face that looks like…that. Sorry; we got distracted!”

Us Magazine is saying that the music is the critical detail, but the red carpet is all about how you pull it together and how you look. Sexy and edgy are the serious way to be seen, and the very high slit was a dominant feature. Adele went with demure instead of flashy.

“Why, ‘Hello.’ Adele looked stunning in an all-black embellished Givenchy gown which emphasized her waist. She added an extra glam factor with her statement jewelry and ever-on-point mani.”

Kaley Cuoco showed in white sequined “I Dream of Genie” style jumpsuit, which might be more of a miss than a hit.

“Showing some skin! The Big Bang Theory actress put her killer abs on display in a sequined jumpsuit with a triangular midriff cutout and plunging V-neckline. She accessorized with a champagne clutch and a ring party.”

Tove Lo was more about the nose ring than the lace black dress she was wearing.

“The ‘Talking Body’ singer turned heads in a sheer lace number that exposed her midriff and accessorized with an eye-catching nose ring.”

Let’s just say the nose ring was less than subtle.

PopSugar highlighted all the glimmered at the 2016 Grammy Awards in every sequin and spangle. Ellie Goulding in Stella McCartney looked elegant and edgy at the same time in a powder pink that still said rock and roll with cut-outs for tattoos and edgy jewelry.

Dencia. Hello Kitty pink onesie doesn’t even begin to describe what will certainly be thought of as one of the hottest messes of the evening. But Z La La was totally channelling her inner Cher in a Bob Mackey inspired black and silver piece with a head dress.

There will be outfit changes at the evening progresses, and more fashion to share.

What was your favorite and your least favorite Grammy outfit of the night?
