‘Affluenza’ Family In More Legal Trouble With Police For Domestic Violence

The family of “affluenza teen” Ethan Couch continues to rack up legal problems, and this one has gotten to a level of violence.

Ethan Couch is responsible for the deaths of four people after driving while drunk and drugged, and now his father, Fred Couch, has been accused of domestic violence, as he has been accused of choking his new girlfriend. Fred and Tonya Couch are in the middle of divorce proceedings, but that doesn’t seem to have stopped him from mixing it up romantically and legally with another woman.

According to the Inquisitr, the entire Couch family has legal counsel on speed dial, as they have each been arrested a number of times for a variety of legal infractions from drunk driving to assault and theft. It is really hard to say who is worse, the parents or the kid, but in terms of the number of people injured, Ethan Couch is still the most offensive Couch family member. Right now, Tonya and Ethan Couch are both under the supervision of the state of Texas, and Fred Couch might be joining them soon.

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the police were once again called to the residence of Fred Couch, father of the affluenza family. A woman claiming to be Fred Couch’s current girlfriend claimed she was being choked.

“Deputies saw she had some redness around her neck, potential choke marks,” Sheriff Dee Anderson said.

The woman then refused to allow officers to take crime scene photos, and sped off in her car. At this time, Fred Couch has not been located by police. This is the second call from an alleged girlfriend of Fred Couch in three months claiming to have been abused.

Sheriff Dee Anderson claims that as of the moment, there is not enough evidence to charge Fred Couch, but admits that Couch has a history of assault.

“In 1999, Couch was arrested for assault and eventually served a few days in jail and two years’ probation. Police said he had punched a supervisor for a contracting firm that hired his roofing and construction company after the man had told his workers to stop using an unsafe table saw.”

And there are other accusations from women that claim that Couch has touched them without permission.

“Couch faced allegations in 2009 that he sexually harassed a female employee and inappropriately touched her, according to court records. The case settled on undisclosed terms a year later.”

The New York Post, which refers to Ethan Couch as the “affluenza twerp,” says that Fred Couch and family are finding it difficult to stay out of legal trouble, and their behavior is finally catching up with them.

Dee Anderson, the Tarrant County Sheriff, and Couch family nemesis, is heading up yet another investigation into Couch family behavior.

“Police said they were called to the residence of ‘affluenza teen’ Ethan Couch’s father on Friday to investigate claims that Fred Couch attacked his girlfriend, but she wouldn’t cooperate and no charges were filed.”

Ethan Couch is on the verge of actually doing some time in “big boy jail,” and facing adult probation, which, if violated, could see him doing years in prison.

“Ethan Couch was sentenced in juvenile court in 2013 to 10 years on probation after four people were killed when a pickup truck he was driving swerved off the road and crashed. Ethan Couch, who was 16 at the time, had a blood-alcohol level three times the legal limit.”

Fred Couch will likely at least have to speak to authorities in the coming days, and could be arrested if the current girlfriend decides to press charges.

Do you think Fred Couch assaulted this current girlfriend?
