Spotify Feature, Love Notes, Allows You To Create The Perfect Playlist For Your Significant Other

Looking for a last-minute Valentine’s treat for your significant other? Finding the perfect treat may be quite difficult, but you can never go wrong with a list of songs that will convey the way you feel, whether it’s for your crush or your spouse. Chocolates and a bouquet of flowers may be the usual choice, but if you want something different, Spotify may have the answer.

Mixtapes were once the ideal choice for sending a playlist to your friends and loved ones, but in this day and age, it might be easier for you to create your playlist in the digital format.

Spotify has a new Valentine’s Day feature, called Love Notes, which allows you to send a secret message to your significant other through a playlist. All it takes is a few minutes of your time, and you don’t even have to spend anything.

According to Tech Insider, Love Notes will create a poem from a message that you input, and use each letter of the words to correspond to a different song. All you have to do is head to Love Notes’ dedicated website, and it will guide you through the process.

The first thing you have to do is choose the theme of songs to be included in your playlist. There are five options on how sizzling hot you want your playlist to be: Just the Way You Are (songs with a pure heart), Call Me Maybe (cute tunes for someone cute), Smooth Operator (a flirty mix), Let’s Get It On (seductive beats), and Bump n’ Grind (steamy tracks).

On the website, you can choose up to three genres of songs that will be included in the Spotify playlist. The choices include Country, Electronic, Rock, Pop, Indie, R&B, and Hip-Hop. Afterwards, users are asked to type in a message to be displayed for the recipient. Love Notes has a maximum number of 54 characters for the message, so keep it short and sweet.

Upon entering the message, a list of songs will be displayed corresponding to each letter of the message. Users can change the songs included in the playlist by clicking on the right or left arrows beside each song.

The last step is to add the name of the recipient and sign your name, or you can keep it anonymous. From there, you are given the option to share your Valentine’s Day playlist to your friends on Twitter or Facebook, or you can also send the playlist directly to a specific person via a shareable link.

From the looks of it, Spotify’s Love Notes is a big hit with its users, as some have already been talking about the new feature on Twitter and how awesome it is as a Valentine’s treat. Here are some of the users’ reactions.
