Janet Jackson In Dispute With Paris Jackson Over Acting Career

You only get one chance to be a child. That’s the central message of a dispute between Janet Jackson and her niece Paris.

Janet is reportedly upset with her family for allowing Michael Jackson’s daughter to sign on for the movie Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys. Janet says that Michael would have wanted Paris, who is only 14-years-old, to go to college before she embarked on an acting career.

A source close to the situation said:

“She feels it goes against Michael’s wishes to keep his kids out of the limelight until age 18… Janet thinks Paris should enjoy being a kid and possibly go to college.”

But Paris is done wearing a mask in public. The young girl has recently done shows like Oprah and Ellen to talk about her late father and has expressed that she wants to be just like him.

Paris said:

“I love acting… When I was really little, my Dad was in the movie Moonwalker, and I knew he could sing really well, but I didn’t know he could act. I saw that and I said, ‘Wow, I want to be just like him.’”

Here’s a video of Paris Jackson during a photo-shoot for Lundon’s Bridge.

Do you think Janet Jackson is right? Is Paris Jackson too young to start acting?

  1. I think Janet has a good point. However, she (Paris) should be able to persue an acting carreer, but her main focus should be on education.

  2. I think janet think the people begind this movie is using her neice becz they dont have any finance from a studio and thinking down thw line the estate can invest in her movie.

  3. Same thing happened to Janet when she was younger. Her parents said, "Janet, you must attend and graduate College before you show your giant purple nipple at the Superbowl on Nationwide TV! Boy, I can't tell you how many young girls have heard this from their parents over the years!

  4. I think Janet Jackson is right. Michael Jackson never had a childhood and we see what happened to him.

I think her grandma is doing a great job with Michaels kids. I also think Paris has her head on her shoulder's. Her father would be proud. While Michaels siblings are fighting over his will Paris is fighting for his rights since he can no longer can speak for himself. I feel sorry for her since the fight is money not the well being of Michaels kids. Michael knew his siblings was in for the money not for him as a brother or helping him through his trouble times. Money is the route of all evils. I'm glad Katherine and the kids are getting all Michaels wealth. I think the rest of the family profited enough off Michael, it ends now. It's over! The money machine is gone!

  6. Janet can let her know , but 14 years old and running things I think not. She's trying to be outthere too fast and don't know that she has not money, no control, at least Janet is in CONTRL… Paris needs to be a kid, grow up make her own money and not relie on (sub dad's money). kid be a kid grown go out get a job!

  7. That's so true. Be a child as long as you can and enjoy it.
