Gwen Stefani Says Blake Shelton Was Not Staring At Her Butt…Honest

Just as the world is getting used to Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani as a couple, a photo of Shelton ogling Gwen’s backside surfaces and, although there’s nothing wrong with a guy lusting after his girl, Gwen is understandably embarrassed. Feeling the need to explain the exact circumstances immortalized in that photograph, Stefani insists that Blake was not looking at her at all. Despite how it looks, the former No Doubt front woman says he was looking at the balls that had come tumbling out of the vehicle after her.

Love is in the air and for Shelton, it seemed the month of love had his hormones running on high, as he was caught on film staring at Gwen Stefani’s butt, though the object of his affection insists this was not the case. In fact, Gwen says Blake was looking at something else entirely. The incident occurred as Shelton dropped Gwen and her three children, Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and 23-month-old Apollo off at the park for a play date, but, as she described to Ryan Seacrest, things were far more complicated than they seem in the photograph.

“Try to picture being a mom and going to a football game on the weekend with your kids and being surrounded by 30 cameras,” Stefani said in the interview. “I was literally going across the field, like trying to stroll [and] get into the car and [was] being completely swarmed. [I was] doing it as fast as I could and I literally opened the back of the truck and all the groceries fell out … and, like, I am trying to rush because everybody’s watching me … and all the other parents are getting mad. … So I’m like, trying to open my door and like, not one, but two basketballs and a football fell out. So he was looking at the balls.”

Former Coach For The Voice Wrote A New Song For Boyfriend Blake Shelton

Just after her divorce from Gavin Rossdale, Stefani wrote a song about the experiences she went through towards the end of their marriage and shared it with the world, allowing her millions of fans to know her heartbreak. Now, as she finds happiness with Blake, Stefani releases a new song, written especially for Shelton and, unlike that previous song, this one is a celebration of love. Even without an admission from Gwen, it seems perfectly obvious that “Make Me Like You” was written specifically for Blake. The new song can be found on Gwen Stefani’s new album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like.

There is currently no music video to go along with “Make Me Like You” and there’s definitely a reason for that. Gwen and Target have partnered in a deal that will have Ms. Stefani creating the video on live television through a four-minute commercial break. The unique idea for the music video will be realized during the 58th Annual Grammy Awards on February 15. The video will be directed by Grammy award-winner Sophie Muller.

“Target has an incredible legacy of creating unexpected moments in music, and I’m thrilled to be partnering with them to create my new music video on live television next Monday,” says Stefani.

This isn’t the first time Gwen has collaborated with Target. Through the past few years, the singer and songwriter has partnered with Target in a number of projects. While this commitment will keep her occupied through a good portion of the Grammy ceremony, it still seems likely that Gwen Stefani may try to make it to at least part of the awards show. It seems probable that Gwen will want to be there to support Shelton, who is up for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for his song “Lonely Tonight.”
