Ariana Grande: Who’s The ‘Bang Bang’ Singer Dating These Days?
Petite pop tart Ariana Grande has been keeping quiet about her personal life these days. The singer was last spotted with backup dancer Ricky Alvarez when they were seen kissing and licking donuts last July in California.
The couple was even spotted sharing some PDA at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. According to the Hollywood Life, Alvarez wouldn’t leave Grande’s sight in the private area that they celebrated. An insider told the celebrity gossip blog that the couple whispered into each other’s ears and giggled all night long.
“Ricky was all over Ariana throughout the night in the VIP area. He wouldn’t leave her sight and was constantly whispering in her ear and making her laugh. He was very cute with her. They shared a few kisses, but she was definitely on high alert with all the cameras around, so she just stuck to holding hands over major PDA.”
Grande even dropped hints about her boo on her Snapchat account. Last month, she revealed to fans that her “babe” surprised her with her very own recording booth that he built himself.
The pair first sparked the romance rumors when Ariana kissed him during a June 28 concert. Their relationship was then confirmed when Ariana and Ricky were caught kissing on camera at the donut shop over the Fourth of July weekend, but fans were too busy scolding Ariana for licking the donuts that were left out on the counter.
Since Donutgate happened, the two have been keeping a low profile by spending time alone at home or on Grande’s tour bus.
“They are not super serious, but they are exclusive. [Their relationship is] very new and they are very comfortable around each other so that its helping things move forward quicker than usual.”
But sources say that Ricky is kind of the jealous type – and for good reason. In January, Justin Bieber liked and commented on a few of Ariana’s Instagram photos, and Ricky was not happy about the pop star’s flirtatious behavior.
Bieber allegedly commented that Grande looked good on a now deleted video. He wrote, “Damn u look good.” Alvarez shut the Biebs down by writing, “keep looking player….I already told you she does.”
Ariana Grande then sparked romance rumors with ex-boyfriend Nathan Sykes. Fans thought that the pair rekindled their romance since they collaborated for a new song, “Over and Over Again.” Both Ari and Nathan took to their Twitter accounts to promote their new duet.
While fans have hoped that the former couple would get back together, it appears that the two are just back together for their professional careers.
According to Rolling Stone, Grande is still in her low-profile relationship with Alvarez, at the moment.
Ariana Grande has managed to ditch one guy in her life and that’s her manager Scooter Braun. She reportedly fired him as her co-manager after their three-year working relationship. Ariana signed on to Scooter’s team back in 2013, and has experienced huge success because of him.
Now the “Focus” singer has parted ways with Braun, according to various reports. The singer and the manager have yet to comment on the news, but an insider insists that her decision had nothing to do with Bieber.
“Ariana always has and continues to support Justin. She did not think the relationship was working for her professionally anymore. It was time to move on. She thinks this is the best professional decision for her moving forward.”
During an interview with Britain’s Daily Telegraph newspaper in 2014, Grande revealed that Braun was like a “father figure” because she hardly sees her own dad, Edward Butera, who left her mom when she was a child.
Now that she has broken ties from Scooter Braun, fans are wondering if this will push back Ariana Grande’s upcoming album, Moonlight.
