Fifth Harmony Break-Up ‘In The Future’ As New Music Details Leak

Fifth Harmony is addressing the ever persistent rumors that they’re heading for a break-up, and are also dishing huge details on their upcoming new music.

Fifth Harmony’s Normai Kordei got very candid about a possible Fifth Harmony split in the February/March issue of Cliché magazine, where she confirmed that a split is in fact “in the future” for the band.

“In the beginning, we all had intentions of pursuing solo careers,” Kordei told Cliché, referencing the girls all auditioning for The X Factor as solo artists before eventually being put together to form Fifth Harmony. “I’m still an individual, as well as the others, meaning we have slightly different visions and aspirations,” Normani said.

But just because a Normani is confirming that Fifth Harmony split is unfortunately inevitable, that doesn’t mean that the ladies will be going their separate ways anytime soon.

Though Kordei didn’t explicitly reveal just how much longer we can expect to see the Fifth Harmony ladies together as a fivesome, she did confirm to the magazine that a split isn’t in the cards for the “Worth It” singers for a while.

“We have a ton of work [to do] and much more to accomplish as Fifth Harmony before that happens,” Normani said, even teasing some exciting details about Fifth Harmony’s as-yet-untitled upcoming second studio album set for release later this year.

“Although I love the body of work we have done, I would say that my favorite has yet to be released,” the Fifth Harmony beauty revealed. “I have a few favorites on this upcoming album, but one song in particular has really grown on me. I can’t say much about this song, but when it’s released, you’ll know. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”

And it turns out that Normani isn’t the only Fifth Harmony bandmember who’s teasing that the group’s new music is their best yet.

Kordie’s fellow Fifth Harmony bandmate Ally Brooke also spoke out about the band’s upcoming album in a new interview with Top Talk With Pace Webb, where she revealed that Fifth Harmony’s upcoming music is a “step up” from their past releases.

“It’s a change for us, it’s definitely a step up,” Brooke revealed during the recent podcast chat. “Fifth Harmony is a different Fifth Harmony today and our music has definitely evolved, just like we have as people.”

“The sound is different,” Ally continued of Fifth Harmony’s upcoming release, “It does have a pretty consistent lane, but it also has variety which is awesome. [Fifth Harmony] are more vulnerable on this album as far as what we speak about, and we talk about. We’ve matured a lot on this album as well and I think that’s going to really shine through it and I hope people will like it.”

The Fifth Harmony star also teased that fans of the girlband are “going to just flip” when they hear what the girls have been working on. “I’m flipping as I just think about it right now,” Brooke revealed, “It’s going to be awesome and I hope everybody loves it and we’ve worked hard.”

Though Normani’s Fifth Harmony bandmate didn’t confirm just how soon new music would be dropping during the podcast chat, she did confirm that she “already know[s] the game plan for everything.”

But while the Fifth Harmony ladies didn’t confirm any official dates, CelebMix is revealing that new Fifth Harmony music is coming soon… very soon. The site teased on February 13 that fans of the fivesome can expect to hear a new single from the girls hit the airwaves on February 26.
