Janet Jackson Prepping For Tour, Covering Up Throat After Surgery That Postponed Tour Dates

Janet Jackson was spotted out in public for the first time since postponing her tour in January. Janet was seen at an art gallery with her husband, Wissam Al Mana, according to Radar Online. Jackson was reportedly covering her neck in the pictures taken during her visit to an art gallery. She canceled several tour dates to undergo emergency surgery but has kept details of her health issue a mystery to fans. Janet struck down rumors of cancer and says she is recovering from the health condition that threatened to shut down her current world tour.

Janet is looking great despite reports of her mystery illness. Radar is reporting that Janet underwent surgery to remove a tumor. Their insider reported, “The surgery was a complete success! It turned out it was not as bad as everyone initially thought, and doctors were able to remove the entire tumor.”

Jackson was forced to postpone her Unbreakable Tour that was originally scheduled to start on January 9. Instead, Janet Jackson will reportedly begin her tour on March 30. Janet initially told fans of her need to postpone the Unbreakable Tour on Christmas Eve when she tweeted, “I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon,” she began. “It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring. Every date will be rescheduled. Please hold on to your ticket. They will be honored in a special way when the new schedule is announced.”

The updated schedule for Janet’s tour was released on January 14. The Unbreakable Tour will kick off after only a slight delay with dates beginning on March 30 at Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham.

Soon after Janet Jackson announced that her tour would be postponed, rumors that the superstar had cancer began to circulate. There are still reports that Jackson had a tumor removed from her throat. Jackson has responded to those rumors though and claims that the cancer stories are completely false. Janet tweeted, “Remember…believe it when you hear it from my lips. The rumors are untrue. I do not have cancer. I’m recovering.”

Janet has been very active on Twitter as she preps for the upcoming tour. Jackson has been posting pictures as she rehearses routines and gets organized and ready to head out for the European leg.

To confirm the stories that Jackson stepped out to go to an art gallery with her husband on Thursday night, Janet even posted a photo of herself posing with the artist. Janet tweeted, “Took a break from tour prep to attend 10th Anniversary of Lazarides Gallery n London with my sweetie… See you soon.”

In the photo, Janet is looking very happy but her throat is covered as other outlets reported. It’s unclear if Janet was trying to be fashionable or if she is covering up surgery scars. The very private singer has not divulged any information about what might have benched her for tour dates originally planned for January and February of 2016.

It looks like Janet Jackson is definitely feeling better now as she preps for her world tour. Jackson has even been adding dates such as the Saratoga, New York, show and others as she recovers from her mystery illness. Janet is set on proving that she really is Unbreakable. In the meantime, Janet has been busy working on the Valentine’s Day episode of the ABC Fresh Off The Boat. A video from backstage the show can be seen below.
