‘It Feels Good To Be A Clinton’: Ted Cruz’s YouTube Video Borrows ‘Office Space’ Theme — Gets 14,000 Views [Video]

Ted Cruz has a bonafide hit campaign attack ad on his hands, called “It Feels Good to Be a Clinton.” The video, posted to the Cruz YouTube channel on Friday, February 12, quickly swelled to more than 14,000 views. “It Feels Good to Be a Clinton” features a Hillary Clinton look-a-like, wearing dark glasses and a pantsuit as that version of Clinton smashes a CPU. It’s a play on the scene from the movie with the cult following, called Office Space, which used the song “Damn It Feels Good to Be a Gangsta” from the Geto Boys.

The lyrics to “It Feels Good to Be a Clinton” wax on about Hillary being a “shameless politician” who has folks in the media tied around her finger, keeping their mouths shut for Clinton. The attack ad shows that the gloves are coming off from Cruz as the presidential bid heats up, with Ted calling Bill and Hillary Clinton an entitled duo.

“Damn it feels good to be a Clinton.
A shameless politician plays her cards right.
Got a crew for the fights on the airwaves.
Lap dogs in the press keep their mouths tight.”

The way that the woman in the video who portrays Hillary takes her bat and smashes the computer equipment is a bid from Ted to keep Clinton’s email scandal and server privacy issues a problem at the forefront in the mind of voters. The “It Feels to Be a Clinton” crew continues to bash the computer until the woman playing Hillary starts punching it with her bare fist — forcing the others to drag her away, just like in the movie Office Space as reported by IMDB.

“Cause a Clinton never needs to explain what.
Why it is what they’ve done or with who.
A real Clinton knows they’re entitled.
You don’t get to know what they do.”

The plot of the 1999 movie featured a guy named Peter Gibbons with a horrible job and an even worse boss. Peter and a couple of coworkers came up with a plot to steal only pennies from each person’s account, amassing a large amount of money over time. However — spoiler alert — the play goes awry and they end up with a lot more money than they planned.

A huge fire at their job ends up saving them from trouble and prison — and brings them to the climactic scene like the one being parodied, where they destroy all the evidence of their dark deeds. With Cruz hitting Clinton with the “It Feels to Be a Clinton” attack ad, Ted is saying loudly and clearly that Clinton has plenty of dark deeds of her own to hide. The lyrics tell the tale of his remaining accusations against Hillary.

“What difference does it make for a Clinton.
What’s loaded in some fat oppo file.
A Clinton plays the victim for promotion.
A Clinton kills it off with a smile.”

“Damn it feels good to be a Clinton.
A server full of secrets ain’t no thing.
Damn it feels good to be a Clinton.
Nothing ever hits with a sting.”

The reaction to Cruz’s “It Feels Good to Be a Clinton” song are coming in swiftly beneath the YouTube video as it goes viral. Some folks find the “It Feels Good to Be a Clinton” video to be a wonderful parody — even if they reportedly won’t vote for Cruz. Others are commenting about the merit of Ted becoming President Cruz. Either way, the video, song, and comments are entertaining.

“Sorry, but even if you hate Ted Cruz, you know this is awesome.”

“How do these ads keep getting better and better?”

“I did not have financial relations with that Goldman Sachs.”

“Awesome, now I have to go watch office space again…”

“No way in hell would I ever vote for Cruz but this is GREAT!”
