Adele Stuns On The Cover Of ‘Vogue,’ Talks Transformation And Inspiration

There’s no question that singing sensation Adele can hit notes like no other, but who knew the uber-talented songstress could work the camera as effortlessly as she did for her cover feature in Vogue magazine.

Adele has stormed back on the scene with a record-breaking album and toned physique after taking a bit of a hiatus to spend time with her family and son. However, the star talent is now right back at the top of the charts where she belongs, all due to her incredible songwriting involving meaningful lyrics and gorgeous melodies to match her incomparable vocal range.

Adele was a sensational model and subject for the Vogue shoot, after which she spoke candidly about various changes that have occurred since first making waves back in 2011. Entertainment Tonight relays details of the interview.

“For starters, she admits that she’s much healthier. Adele now withstands from eating or drinking certain foods in order to protect her throat and gave up Malboro cigarettes that she used to smoke regularly. She has also nearly giving up all alcohol consumption.”

The benefits to maintaining her health for other reasons, aside from dropping weight, have in fact allowed the star to lose a good deal of weight which she certainly is not upset about. Adele shares as to the benefits of the weight loss.

“I was trying to get some stamina for my tour. So I lost a bit of weight. Now I fit into normal, off-the-shelf clothes — which is really a big problem for me!”

When chatting about the celebrities whom she would love to keep a workout regimen with and get healthy with, Adele shares that Rihanna is at the top of her list along with another singer she’s a massive fan of.

“I’ve always been a really big fan of Bruno. But when we worked together he was beyond. He can do anything, literally singing the best vocals you’ve ever heard live in your life while he is playing a drum or a bass or doing some mad percussion riff.”I think he definitely will be the biggest, biggest, biggest artist in the world.”

In addition to sharing about her appreciation for Mars, Adele expressed how “obsessed” she also is with Lana Del Rey and the singer’s abilities when it comes to songwriting and melodies.

“I’m obsessed with her. Her lyrics are fierce. The chorus of this song makes me feel like I’m flying, like that bit in your life when it goes into slo-mo. When you’ve got nothing to do and you’re staring out of the window and your mind goes to magical places.”

Although Adele has undergone a bit of an image transformation since her first hit album dropped, the singer adamantly reminds that the reason for the change was purely for the health benefits and not at all to keep her image fresh for fans and media, as other artists tend to be sure to do. The stunning singer notes how balance and focus is the key to her succeeding.

“I don’t have it in me to reinvent myself a lot to flip in and out of genres and styles and trends. When I became a parent, I felt like I was truly living. I had a purpose, where before I didn’t. My main thing is Mum, then it’s me, then it’s work.”

Although being a mother is her primary focus, Adele did not add any tracks that are solely based on her son Angelo. The singer realized that her best music comes from shining the light on her own deep-rooted feelings and journey. However, Adele does share that she has written various material about her son. Vogue makes note of this detail.

“Numerous songs about Angelo were put aside when she decided her fans wouldn’t be able to relate to them as she did. (Angelo can actually be heard on ‘Sweetest Devotion,’ however.)”
