Eva Longoria Can Dodge Questions Better Than Any Politician

Eva Longoria is stunningly beautiful, extremely talented, and can dodge questions better than a politician. Entertainment Weekly reports that Longoria was recently on the Late Late Show with James Corben, and he brought up her ability to deflect questions.

“You picked up a skill from your beauty pageant days, which is that you are brilliant at deflecting and avoiding awkward questions.”

Corben then tested this theory by asking Eva Longoria a series of awkward questions. Eva Longoria was asked what she hates most about Desperate Housewives.

“You know the funny thing about Housewives is that everybody always talked about the drama behind the scenes, but they would never do that about a show about men.”

Then she was asked whether she would have an affair with Corben or her co-guest Tom Ellis.

“You know what’s so funny, life is about variety, so you should always keep your options open.”

Eve Longoria is pretty good at deflecting, or pivoting, as she called it. She is also good at shooting the breeze with other beautiful Hollywood stars, including Reese Witherspoon, Elizabeth Banks, and Kerry Washington. The Entertainment Weekly Beyond Beautiful special had the women take part in a roundtable, where they discussed everything relevant to them, their careers, and the world, all over wine and good food.

Eva Longoria spoke about how one of the male actors asked Longoria to lobby for him to get a raise.

That was not a popular request, particularly in an industry where women fight to be on equal footing with their male counterparts.

That man might not have been on her favorites list that day, but Eva Longoria does have a special man in her life who made a very special request not that long ago. She recently got engaged to Jose Antonio Baston. Now that Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, what is on the slate for Longoria and her fiancé? This is Longoria’s first Valentine’s Day as an engaged woman, and People reports that she and her fiancé are celebrating Valentine’s Day the way they always have: getting together with friends.

“We always have a Valentine’s Day weekend – a couple’s war weekend. So we invite a lot of couple friends of ours and we have this insane competition of like minute-to-win-it games. It’s a fun weekend but it’s definitely a competitive weekend.”

Eva Longoria also spoke about the wedding they are planning together.

“[There’s] no theme or location. No guest list. You know, I guess I keep advocating for eloping. I think we’re going to do something really, really simple. We’ve both been married before, so there’s not going to be a lot of pomp and circumstance.”

People reported that at the end of January, Eva Longoria attended her first red-carpet event as an engaged woman. She was at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in a smashing dress, and she said she couldn’t pinpoint why she chose it.

“I don’t know, I just put it on!”

Eva Longoria also told Savannah Guthrie of Today that she is in no rush to plan her wedding.

“We haven’t even discussed it. I mean, I’m still in the glow of the engagement, and it was such a surprise… so we’re still absorbing that moment.”

In conjunction with Valentine’s Day, the Daily Mail reports that Eva Longoria also helped promote Godiva chocolates by attending Public Displays of Godiva in Glendale, California. She did a photo shoot dressed all in red and holding a box of amazing Godiva chocolates. Yummy! Perhaps she’ll get a box for Valentine’s Day.
