WWE Rumors: Bill Goldberg To Be Signed And Return In Time For ‘WrestleMania 32’

WWE is just a couple of weeks away from Fastlane, and then it’s full-speed ahead to WrestleMania 32 at the beginning of April. Right now, the build-up for the biggest wrestling event of the year is rather lackluster, and there’s not a lot going on for it. In order to make the pay-per-view in Dallas one of the biggest ever, a lot is going to be done. Maybe that’s why WWE is looking to sign Bill Goldberg and have him return in time for it.

For years now, his return to the ring has been rumored and teased, but nothing ever came of it. Over the course of the past six to eight months, the talks have heated up, and it was even known that Goldberg talked with Triple H over the summer about what it would take for him to come back.

Nothing happened then either, but something may now. WWE is seriously struggling in certain areas, which is obvious to those who have been watching the company for years.

The Undertaker is not present and has had no build-up for whatever match he may have at WrestleMania 32. The main event isn’t set and publicly announced to be in place yet. No real matches are even being hinted at.

What can WWE do to bring about some excitement for what is to be their biggest even every single year?

Christian Today is reporting that Goldberg has been expressing his interest to return to the ring a lot in the past year. He’s made some appearances, and TNA even attempted to sign him and bring him in for a huge shock, but the money wasn’t there for them to pull it off.

Goldberg has said time and time again that he is more than happy to return to WWE but simply wants it to work for both parties. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, he even said what it would take for him to come back, and that’s respect.

“At the end of the day no bulls**t. Just get straight to the point. Let’s talk business. At the end of the day I don’t know what a realistic conversation is with these guys or anybody in the wrestling world for that matter because I haven’t had one in such a long period of time. I don’t know the lay of the land anymore but I know how business is done from back in the day. I know how it should be done now. There’s certain constants that are always there and… I don’t know man. I have no idea what that conversation would be like because I have not thought about it for one second. I don’t know man.”

Maybe there isn’t a great relationship between Goldberg and Vince McMahon, or maybe things have changed. Then again, Triple H is really the one who needs to get it done, and he’s the one who may end up having the final say on if the big man returns to WWE.

A lot of people would love to see Goldberg back for one more run in the ring. Sports World News points out that he is a pure draw and would be again if he were to return.

The injuries have really hurt WWE right now, and they’re going to make the card for WrestleMania 32 quite hard to fill with big names. There are a lot more than anyone may think, and it’s really making things difficult for WWE.

  • Daniel Bryan – Retirement
  • John Cena
  • Sting
  • Randy Orton
  • Seth Rollins
  • Nikki Bella
  • Cesaro
  • Tyson Kidd

It may not seem like a very long list, but just looking at the names, you can tell that they are all big stars. There are some gaps, and having The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, and Kane all on reduced schedules, it limits the card and roster even more.

Bill Goldberg may not end up ever coming back to WWE, but it seems quite possible and wouldn’t be a bad idea by the company. Bringing him back to return before WrestleMania 32 would boost attention for that event as well, and it’s well known that WWE wants it to be huge. Goldberg coming through the smoke and to the ring could do a lot for everyone involved.
