Are Gwen Stefani And Miranda Lambert Headed For A ‘Face-To-Face’ Showdown Over Blake Shelton?

Gwen Stefani and Miranda Lambert have appeared to be civil on Twitter, but are they really? According to the cover of the latest issue of In Touch Weekly, the answer to that question is “No.”

Following their brief Twitter interaction weeks ago, which involved a “follow and a favorite,” the magazine’s cover art included a photograph of Gwen Stefani paired with a photo of Lambert, as the headline read, “Gwen & Miranda: Face-To-Face Showdown Over Blake.”

Meanwhile, there were three bullet marks, including the topics listed below:

“Inside their angry confrontation.”

“Blake caught in the middle as Miranda demands answers.”

“How it’s even worse than Brad, Jen and Angelina!”

Years before a Gwen Stefani-Blake Shelton romance was thought of, Brad Pitt infamously called it quits with his then-wife Jennifer Aniston in lieu of his Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie. And while many assumed Pitt and Jolie’s romance began after the movie was filmed and after his divorce from Aniston was final, Jolie later confirmed she and Pitt fell in love while filming the action thriller.

Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani and Shelton appeared on The Voice Season 7 and The Voice Season 9, but didn’t announce they were dating until mid-way through season 9, after they both announced their divorces.

In July of last year, after four years of marriage, Shelton revealed he and Lambert called it quits, and just weeks later, Gwen Stefani and her husband of 13 years, Gavin Rossdale, announced they were divorcing as well. Then, in late October, less than three months after her divorce announcement, Gwen Stefani was spotted getting cozy with Shelton at a Halloween party, and days later, they were photographed holding hands at a Country Music Awards after-party.

Although there is absolutely no proof that Gwen Stefani and Shelton were at all involved prior to either of their splits, In Touch Weekly claimed Lambert is looking to get even.

“[Gwen Stefani] paraded her romance with Blake like it was some big prize she won at the county fair, to make her feel better about the end of her marriage to Gavin Rossdale,” the magazine reported, according to Hollywood Life. “It wasn’t fair and it wasn’t nice. [Gwen] broke all girl codes in the book.”

And, added the source, “Miranda doesn’t hold back when she communicates with Blake, whether it’s through texts that she knows [Gwen Stefani] will see, phone calls or through mutual friends. [Gwen Stefani] feels Miranda is hurt and acting out when she does it. But even though she knows that, it doesn’t sting any less.”

While it may be understandable that Lambert could have been hurt by Gwen Stefani’s very public relationship with Shelton, a second report by Gossip Cop claims there will be no showdown between the two women.

On February 10, Gwen Stefani’s rep confirmed she had no plans to meet with Lambert.

After flaunting their romance on The Voice Season 9, Gwen Stefani and Shelton began to do some traveling, and in recent months, they’ve been spotted in Arizona, Oklahoma, and California, where they’ve spent tons of time with Gwen Stefani’s three sons, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.

Meanwhile, as the month continues, Gwen Stefani and her boyfriend will be getting back to work on The Voice Season 10. However, rather than return as a coach alongside Shelton, Gwen Stefani will be taking on a mentor role for Team Shelton while Christina Aguilera returns as coach.
