‘The Bachelor’s’ Olivia Slams Haters After Elimination

After having some time to peruse the internet remarks about her since her Bachelor elimination, Olivia has concluded that she simply is not a fan of the response that her exit has garnered over the court of public opinion.

The final scene of Olivia involved the contestant standing abandoned on a stormy island, obviously crying and upset after she had predicted she would be the one taking on the last name Higgins once the show wrapped.

The 23-year-old news anchor became the season’s villain before she was eliminated this week. The beauty took to Instagram following the elimination to thank fans but to also share words with her haters since her exit on the hit reality show.

“Thank you to the lovers and supporters, both friends and strangers, who have reached out. I am eternally grateful. For the haters, you’ve made me stronger than ever before.”

The contestant was sure to express her feelings and attitudes about the other ladies she was in competition with on the show in addition, as Entertainment Tonight relays.

“The girls on this show see your comments and they have feelings. Think twice before sending an insensitive message,” wrote Olivia, who was seen routinely making insensitive comments towards her fellow contestants on The Bachelor, including this Teen Mom diss. “Words hurt, and they kill, too. Don’t be mean behind the screen. #AntiBullyingMonth.”

The Bachelor contestant also has opened up about what being on the show has taught her about herself and reflected on the experience candidly.

Olivia certainly offered some of the best TV moments of this season of the long-running show, including the time she burst out of the cake and then had an anxiety attack shortly thereafter. Olivia, however, came under the most fire when she referred to a single mother as “Teen Mom.”

The anchor admits to the challenges she experienced and notes that being human means making mistakes and learning from them, as People notes.

“This has been one of the most interesting experiences of my life. I’ve learned a lot about myself. Good things and tough lessons. We’re all human. We make mistakes. Learn from them. Let them make you wiser. Be imperfect, flawed, and quirky. And own it. Never trade your authenticity for approval. Don’t be afraid to stand alone. Anyway, rant over. Can’t wait for adventures ahead!”

The bachelor, himself, Ben Higgins shared his feelings about Olivia, and the accusations made about the blonde beauty, indicating how and why he handled the situation the ways he did, as People Blog relays.

“I needed more time to make this decision and I would respect the feelings I had had for Olivia and trust my gut to give her that rose in the first place. I mean I would hate to send a woman as amazing as Olivia home simply because she was misunderstood by a group of women also dating the same guy as her. But I won’t lie and say that my guard was definitely up at this point and my eyes open.”

The season is winding down and Ben is narrowing his choices as the final rose ceremony approaches. The next episode airs Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
