Lady Gaga Prepares For Her Tribute Performance To David Bowie At The Grammys

Lady Gaga is a name on everybody’s lips right now following her stunning rendition of the national anthem that marked the opening of Sunday’s Super Bowl. Her mini-comeback now appears to be continuing as the star prepares for her tribute performance to David Bowie at the Grammys.

Anyone following Lady Gaga’s Instagram account this week will have noticed that Gaga has been sharing images on Snapchat, providing a glimpse behind the scenes as preparation unfolds for her performance. We’d definitely say they provide something of an insight.

One of the most popular of the star’s social media posts was captioned “Bowie kid for life,” which tells us something about the inspiration the late David Bowie was to Gaga. This clip was coupled with a range of other short clips and snaps, all providing just a small glimpse of her upcoming performance and tribute to Bowie. With the images also showing off the star interactive with her dance troupe and other members of the team. We’d definitely say that Gaga looks like great fun to hang out with on set.

The star’s Snapchat snaps weren’t just limited to her Grammy’s performance; she was also keen to show off being busy at work writing lyrics. Plus, there was a small glimpse into the star’s downtime with yoga by the pool. Not that she’s all that healthy, though, holding up a slice of particularly scrumptious looking pizza in one snap.

Lady Gaga revealed earlier this month that she would be taking to the stage at the Grammys to give a heartfelt tribute to the late David Bowie. It’s widely known that Bowie’s extravagant flair heavily influenced Gaga, so her performance came as no real surprise. What’s more, the star is expected to go all out in terms of her performance, taking to the stage to perform a good few of the British music sensation’s hits. The Grammys itself will be again hosted by LL Cool J for the fifth consecutive year, and a large portion of the show is expected to be dedicated to David Bowie, who passed away last month.

For many years, David Bowie has been one of the biggest names in the music industry, so it only seems right that the Grammy’s mourn his loss. We can only hope that Gaga does the star justice when she takes to the stage for her tribute performance.

Lady Gaga is understandably ecstatic following her Super Bowl performance earlier this week. The major sporting event saw the star open the show with a stellar performance of the American national anthem. Gaga received critical acclaim for her performance at the event, with many commentating it as a completely different side of the Gaga we know. Without a doubt, it feels like Lady Gaga is truly changing the crazy image that made her famous and heading down a much more composed and serious route. That being said, we still love the new Gaga as much as we did the old one.

The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will take place in Los Angeles, California on February 15, which is when Lady Gaga will take to the stage with her David Bowie tribute performance. It’ll definitely be exciting to see one of the 21st century’s biggest pop stars take to the stage to celebrate the life and music of one of the previous century’s biggest stars.

For fans of both Lady Gaga and David Bowie, this year’s Grammy awards ceremony is undeniably going to be essential viewing all round.
