Suri Cruise, Katie Holmes, OK After Car Accident

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise were involved in a car accident yesterday when a garbage truck sideswiped their Mercedes. No one inside the car was hurt in the car crash but the car received some damage.

According to the NY Daily News, Holmes picked Suri up at her gymnastic class at Chelsea Piers. Holmes and Suri were both passengers in the car. The only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash was the driver. No one was injured.

A source said:

“It was nothing major other than the fact that it was Katie Holmes.”

Holmes and her ex-husband Tom Cruise have been battling over their daughter Suri. The young girl has been staying with her mother as Cruise films his new movie in Iceland. Cruise and Suri have been talking via video chat recently, and now that Cruise has wrapped up filming on Oblivion, they should be able to meet to talk about the crash, the divorce, Scientology, Catholicism, divorce, gymnastics, and everything else concerning Suri Cruise.

A source told the NY Daily News:

“It’s all part of the divorce settlement that Tom be allowed to video chat with Suri. Likewise, when Suri is with Tom, Katie can video chat with her…. Tom and Katie were advised that this could be a very useful tool to help Suri with the adjustment of her parents getting divorced. … Tom just lights up when her face appears on the computer screen. Tom and Suri also communicate on the telephone and there is no limit on the contact for either parent. If Suri wants to talk to Tom, she will call him.”
