Stephen Colbert declared to the nation that Jeff Goldblum was dead Monday night, and he even had the dead Jeff Goldblum there to prove it.
Notable is Colbert’s inclusion of footage from the Australian Today Show, where Richard Wilkins not only reports on the story, but actually goes as far as saying New Zealand police have confirmed the story as well…even though they hadn’t. Pwnd

It would have left some skepticism to simply report that Goldblum was still alive, but to actually have him standing there listening to the silly news report is the best.
