Dina Manzo Denies ‘RHONJ’ Firing, Cheers On Teresa Giudice

Was Dina Manzo fired from The Real Housewives of New Jersey? According to her, no. On Monday, after Bravo confirmed that season 7 will air later this year and that it will star Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, and Jaqueline Laurita, Dina responded on social media to the claim that she was fired from the show.

In response to someone who tweeted a link to an article claiming that Dina, along with Teresa Aprea and Nicole Napolitano, were fired from the show, Dina replied that she was “never fired.”

On Tuesday morning, Dina promoted Teresa G.’s memoir and encouraged her followers to watch her Watch What Happens Live appearance.

Dina was on the first two seasons of the show, along with Jacqueline and Teresa G. After being gone from the show for three seasons, with the exception of a small appearance on season 4, Dina returned as a starring cast member on the show’s sixth season. Joining her on the sixth season were Teresa G., Melissa, Teresa A., Nicole, and Amber Marchese.

It was widely reported that Dina’s return to the show was conditional on the departure of her sister-in-law Jacqueline, as the two did not have a good relationship and Dina didn’t want to film with her. Dina was also estranged from her sister Caroline Manzo, who left the show after the fifth season for her own spin-off, Manzo’d With Children. The exact cause for the family rift has never been revealed.

Surprisingly, Jacqueline did show up in a few episodes towards the end of the sixth season. Her scenes were not with Dina or Teresa G., whom she also didn’t have a good relationship with, but were limited mostly to her interacting with Kathy Wakile and Rosie Pierri, Teresa’s G.’s cousins who had smaller roles on the last season.

On the season 6 reunion show, Dina Manzo said that she would never do a reality show with family ever again. She also put the blame for the family estrangement on Jacqueline Laurita. This caused Caroline Manzo, during her later appearance on Andy Cohen’s talk show Watch What Happens Live, to lash out at Dina and tell her to grow up. Caroline said that Dina didn’t make any effort to be with the family for years. Caroline even claimed that Dina told their brother to leave Jacqueline.

Much to many people’s surprise, Dina reconciled with both Caroline and Jacqueline after Caroline’s Watch What Happens Live appearance. Both Jacqueline and Dina attended Caroline’s 2014 Christmas Eve dinner. The two women even dined at the same table.

Despite the reconciliation, Dina may have still wished to avoid doing Real Housewives with Jacqueline again in order to maintain the peace. Did Jacqueline return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey after Dina decided she no longer wanted to do it, or did Jacqueline’s return prompt Dina to quit the show? It seems that Dina made the decision to leave the show long before preparations for season 7 began, since she moved to California shortly after season 6 ended.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Caroline confirmed in August 2015 that Dina now lives in California. She also confirmed that both she and Jacqueline currently have a good relationship with Dina.

As for Amber Marchese, Nicole Napolitano, and Teresa Aprea, all of whom were introduced to viewers on season 6, it seems that they, like Dina Manzo, won’t be on the new season with Melissa Gorga, Jacqueline Laurita, and Teresa Giudice. Bravo’s announcement regarding the new season doesn’t mention them. Amber and Nicole now do a BlogTalkRadio show titled Girls In Heels. On Monday, Amber re-tweeted her husband’s tweet claiming that the show can’t afford him and his wife.
