Kanye West Defends Bill Cosby, Shuts Down Kylie Jenner Puma Rumors

Kanye West is back at it again on Twitter. The rapper has been promoting his upcoming clothing line at New York Fashion and his nudity-filled magazine all while sharing some of his thoughts.

Of course, sharing your thoughts on Twitter cannot come without some backlash from social media. Kanye West, 38, tweeted support for Bill Cosby in light of his sexual assault scandal on Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 9).

The rapper wrote, “BILL COSBY INNOCENT!!!!!!!!!!” Many of West’s fans assumed he was supporting the comedian who has been accused of sexual assault by over dozens of women who claimed he drugged and sexually assaulted them while unconscious.

Earlier that day, Kanye West also shut down the rumors that Kylie Jenner signed a deal with Puma. West took to Twitter to share that “there will never be a Kylie Puma anything” and that Puma should “never try to divide the family!!!”

On Monday, reports surfaced that Jenner signed a deal to become the new face of Puma. Multiple anonymous sources revealed to Us Weekly that Kylie Jenner has become Puma’s latest brand ambassador.

Rihanna currently serves as the creative director for the brand and is showing her Puma by Rihanna fashion show on Friday during New York Fashion Week. One of the sources said that Jenner’s partnership will not be “full out like Rihanna’s collaboration.” In addition, Jenner will receive a cool seven figures just to put her face on the brand.

As for Kylie, she has been photographed wearing the brand’s footwear, but she’s also been seen wearing Kanye’s sneakers. The reality star has showed off her impressive shoe collection on her new app and website, as well as her Snapchat account.

Then West backtracked and revealed that his beef was with Nike CEO Mike Parker and not Chicago Bulls former player Michael Jordan.

“I’m sorry Michael Jordan. I love and respect you. My beef was with Mark Parker. I respect you so much,” he wrote.

This doesn’t just get in the way of his business, it’s personal, too. West previously had negotiations to work with Puma before striking a deal with Adidas to release his YEEZY Boost kicks last year. He even took a hit at his former partnership Nike in his new single “Facts.” If the song is any indication, West doesn’t like footwear companies who make big offers in attempts to sign on a big-name athlete or celebrity.

Neither Puma nor Kylie Jenner have confirmed the deal nor what was included in it. Looks like it’s something that West and Jenner will have to discuss among themselves.

Meanwhile, on Monday night, Kendall and Kylie Jenner hosted an official launch party in New York City for their new Kendall + Kylie line.

Rumors are also swirling that Kim Kardashian is set to make her post-baby debut at Kanye West’s New York Fashion Week show on Thursday, Feb. 11. Another alleged insider told Us Weekly that she will be wearing something from West’s Season 3 of his collection, and she will be an integral part of the show.

“She will be wearing something from Kanye’s new collection. A lot of Kanye’s ideas are inspired by Kim. He designs for Kim,” the source added.

Since Kanye West’s latest Twitter rant, both trending topics #kanyeiscancelledparty and “BILL COSBY IS INNOCENT” have been trending all Tuesday evening.

This comes just weeks after Kanye got into a feud with Wiz Khalifa after he thought the rapper was talking about his wife Kim Kardashian. Not only did he go after Wiz (and his pants), but he also slammed his ex-girlfriend Amber Rose and their son, Sebastian, 2.

It seems like West has been tweeting non-stop since his new album is set to drop on Feb. 12. But is having constant Twitter rants the best way to promote yourself? What are your thoughts on West’s latest Twitter rant? Sound off below in the comments section.
