Miley Cyrus Responds To Nicki Minaj’s ‘Down in the DM’ Mention

Miley Cyrus appears to be responding to Nicki Minaj’s recent revival of their infamous MTV VMA feud, and it looks like the two may have finally buried the hatchet.

Just days after Minaj revived her bad blood with Cyrus in the a remix of the track “Down in the DM,” it appears that Miley is ready to put their feud behind her after she was spotted rapping along with Minaj’s verse on the Kanye West track “Monster” during a car ride.

Nicki Minaj source Nicki Daily took to Twitter to post the short clip, which they claim to be recent, of Cyrus rapping along to the song while driving with a friend.

The newly surfaced video comes just days after Miley and Nicki hit the headlines once again for the past drama, which Minaj rapped about in the recently released remix of the track, “Down in the DM.”

Rolling Stone previewed the pretty scathing new song last week, in which Minaj appears to reference her now infamous exchange with Cyrus at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards where Nicki slammed Miley as a “b****” during the live telecast.

“He said ‘Kylie, what’s good?’/I said Miley, what’s good?/I said could you pay my bills like O’Reilly, what’s good?” Nicki sings in the just released track, stirring up rumors that Minaj and Cyrus are in fact still feuding after their August 2015 exchange.

As fans of both Nicki and Miley will likely remember, the Cyrus/Minaj drama first began when Minaj took to social media to register her disappointment that her risqué hit “Anaconda” was snubbed in the Video of the Year category at the big music awards show.

“If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year [sic],” Nicki wrote on Twitter at the time, adding, “When the “other” girls drop a video that breaks records and impacts culture they get that nomination.”

Nicki’s controversial remarks then caught the attention of Taylor Swift, who fired back on her own Twitter page after believing that Minaj’s messages were aimed at her after she received a Video of the Year nomination for her cameo filled video for “Bad Blood.”

“I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other,” Taylor wrote at the time, telling Nicki “Maybe one of the men took your slot.”

Though Swift later apologized for her remarks after Minaj clarified that she was not in fact referencing Taylor’s nomination, Miley, who hosted the big awards show, later weighed in on Nicki’s Twitter remarks during a pre-show interview with The New York Times, where she branded Minaj as being “not too polite.”

“What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj, is not too kind,” Cyrus told The New York Times of Minaj’s controversial social media comments. “It’s not very polite. I think there’s a way you speak to people with openness and love,” Miley said.

But Cyrus’s remarks clearly didn’t sit too well with Nicki, who took the opportunity to fire back at the “We Can’t Stop” singer at the MTV awards show after accepting the moon man for Best Hip-Hop Video for “Anaconda,” in what has become one of the most notable Video Music Awards moments in the show’s more than 30 year history.

“Now… back to this b***h that had a lot to say about me in the press,” Minaj, who’s certainly no stranger to a feud or two, infamously said of Cyrus during the live telecast, asserting, “Miley, what’s good?”
