Xbox Live Deals With Gold Offer 50% Discount For ‘NBA 2K16’


Discounted price for “NBA 2K16” is one of Microsoft’s highlights for this week’s Xbox Live “Deals with Gold” promo.

According to a post on Major Nelson, Xbox 360 users with Xbox Live Gold membership can purchase a copy of NBA 2K16 for only half of its original price. Xbox Live Gold members can download the basketball simulation video game from the Xbox Marketplace for only $30 until early next week.

Meanwhile, Xbox One owners with active Gold subscription can avail the standard edition of NBA 2K16 with 33 percent discount. Moreover, gamers eyeing for the NBA 2K16 Michael Jordan Special Edition are also in for a treat as the latest offering of Xbox Live Deals with Gold provides discount for this particular version of the game. Major Nelson shared that the Michael Jordan Special Edition regularly worth $79.99 can be purchased this week with 40 percent price markdown.

Add-ons for 2K’s basketball video game are also on sale. NBA 2K16 200,000 VC and the 450,000 VC add-ons are now 20 and 30 percent cheaper, respectively. Other discounted NBA 2K16 products are the Blue Diamond Bling Pack, Platinum Bling Pack, Gold Bling Pack and the Spanish Commentary Pack, all available through Xbox Live Deals with Gold for only half of their respective pricing.

NBA 2K16 promises the most genuine NBA gaming experience, especially with its enhanced animation offering “smoother movement and more realistic articulation.” The game’s description from Xbox Marketplace read:

“The NBA 2K franchise is back with the most true-to-life NBA experience to date with NBA 2K16. Guide your MyPLAYER through the complete NBA journey, take control of an entire NBA franchise, or hone your skills online competing against gamers from around the world.”

Developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports, “NBA 2K16” hit the shelves on September 29, 2015 as the 17th installment from the NBA 2K franchise series. Aside from Microsoft Xbox One and Xbox 360, the game is also available for platforms such as Sony PlayStation 4 and PS3, Windows, iOS and Android.

In a recent NBA 2K16 report posted on Attack of the Fanboy, it was noted that several gamers are having issues accessing the game’s online servers. This was confirmed by 2K Support via a Twitter post, which also noted that they are looking into the issue. Check out the tweet below:

Going back to Xbox Live Deals with Gold promo, the list also includes Mortal Kombat X, which is currently being offered to Gold subscribers with 45 percent discount. The fighting game from NetherRealm Studios, which is 41.75 GB heavy, offers a combination of “unparalleled, cinematic presentation” and a brand new gameplay. In this game, it is possible for players to “choose from multiple variations of each character impacting both strategy and fighting style,” the description for Mortal Kombat X read, as posted on its page on Xbox Store.

From the list of Xbox Live Deals with Gold this week, two Games on Demand were given the highest discount. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 can now be bought at 75 percent off their usual pricing.
