Khloe Kardashian, James Harden Split ‘Weeks Ago,’ Source Reports

If the rumors are to be believed, it seems that the Khloe Kardashian-James Harden relationship has come to an end.

After several months of rumors and speculation, Us Weekly reported on Monday that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and Houston Rockets player had, in fact, split. In fact, the news outlet went so far as to say that Khloe and James split “weeks ago,” and that Kardashian was the one to dump Harden.

Khloe and James began dating in July, and their relationship has been the subject of much media speculation ever since as the media continuously played “are they together, are the not?”

Back in September, the couple were said to have split after rumors that James had cheated on Khloe with a Philadelphia stripper. The rumors seem to have been unfounded, but the relationship has been plagued by rumors ever since.

When Lamar Odom, Khloe’s estranged husband, was admitted to the hospital in October, rumors about a Khloe Karadashian-James Harden split seemed to go into overdrive. At the time, Odom was admitted to a Las Vegas hospital with an alleged drug overdose, and Kardashian rushed to her husband’s side in an effort to help him recover.

Khloe stayed with Lamar day and night for several weeks, and when he was finally released from the hospital, rumors circulated that the former Los Angeles Laker may have moved in with Kardashian. The rumors simply caused those who believed James and Khloe had split to talk more loudly.

Throughout the entire Lamar Odom situation, Khloe repeatedly said that James had been supportive and understanding of everything Kardashian had to do to help Odom get back on his feet — literally.

At the time of the Lamar Odom overdose, he and Khloe had been in the final stages of divorce. After Odom was admitted to the hospital, Kardashian withdrew the paperwork, saying that there was no rush in finalizing the split. Many reports believed that Khloe’s divorce withdrawal spelled the end for her relationship with the Houston Rockets guard, but still, Khloe persisted that the couple had not split.

In November, Khloe spoke with Ryan Seacrest, saying that Harden had a “good boyfriend” throughout everything with Lamar, according to Us Weekly.

“James has been great. He’s been very supportive with everything. I’m sure there was, of course, times that he was uncomfortable with some of the things, but I’m a very honest person and I have nothing to hide.… He’s been great and I’ve been open and honest.”

Despite Khloe’s positive words about her beau, the rumors of a Khloe Kardashian-James Harden split continued. In January, James added fuel to the fire when he was seen at a strip club with rapper Tyga. Tyga, who is dating Khloe’s younger sister, Kylie Jenner, has faced plenty of scrutiny of his own, as he and Kylie are subjected to the same type of are-they-dating-are-they-not type of rumors in the press.

About two weeks before the news of the Khloe Kardashian and James Harden split was made public, the Kocktails with Khloe host posted a series of cryptic photos to Instagram, including one that was captioned “When you’ve experienced love at it’s purest, it’s hard to settle for anything less.”

Around the same time, Kardashian posted another telling photo.

What do you think of the rumor that Khloe Kardashian and James Harden may have broken up? Do you think it’s for the best, or would you have liked to see the reality TV star stick with the NBA player? Why or why not?
