Lamar Odom Health Update: Kim & Khloé Kardashian Take A Hike With Former NBA Player, Share Photo

Lamar Odom is doing remarkably well just months after suffering a devastating drug overdose, which nearly took his life.

As fans have seen on recent episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Lamar Odom was practically dead when he arrived to the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 13, 2015. For days, he remained in a coma with the prognosis surrounding his recovery extremely bleak.

While Lamar Odom eventually awoke from the coma, with family and friends at his side — including wife Khloé Kardashian, children Destiny and Lamar Jr., and mother-in-law Kris Jenner — his recovery continued in Los Angeles, where he was stationed at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood, California, until mid-January.

Throughout his recovery, Lamar Odom has been supported by his formerly-estranged wife, Khloé Kardashian, who immediately boarded a private jet and flew to his side as soon as he was hospitalized last year. Since his hotel exit, Khloé has remained dedicated to Lamar Odom, despite filing for divorce in December 2013, and recently moved him into a home near hers.

As his recovery continues, Lamar Odom has been spending time with Khloé and her family, including sister Kim (who also flew to Las Vegas when he was hospitalized), and on Sunday, they enjoyed a walk through Los Angeles.

Also on Sunday, after Kim posted the photo above of Lamar Odom, Khloé posted a message on Instagram, which seemed as if it may have had something to do with the former professional athlete.

“Everything happens for a reason… Right?! I’m a firm believer of this saying. We may not understand why we have to walk a certain path or why when it rains, it pours but trust that God has a plan,” Khloé wrote on Instagram on February 7.

“We must lose in order to gain. Lessons are best taught through our darkest hour. Through crying and defeat. Through sorrow and loss. All of my pain or sadness has only built my strength, soul, character and wisdom. One day, all of our trails and tribulations will add up and make perfect sense. Until that day comes, learn to laugh at confusion and dance in the rain.”

Khloé ended her Instagram post with a verse from the Bible, Romans 8:18, which read, “The pain that you have been feeling, can’t compare to the joy that’s coming.”

During Lamar Odom’s hospitalization, Khloé and her former partner signed documents to have their divorce thrown out, which it was. However, there doesn’t appear to be any plans for a reconciliation. Although Khloé wanted to remain in control of Lamar Odom’s ongoing medical care, she is expected to refile divorce papers eventually, but it is unclear when she will begin this process. It is also unclear whether or not she and her boyfriend, James Harden, are handling the stress well as she tends to Lamar Odom’s needs.

Khloé began dating Harden in early summer of last year, and for weeks, the two kept their relationship on the down-low. Then, just months into their relationship, Lamar Odom overdosed, which understandably changed the dynamic of their relationship.

On Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Lamar Odom’s health crisis has been spoken of, but not seen. After his hospitalization, E! took a weeks-long hiatus from filming.
