Madonna Custody Battle: Did Guy Ritchie Stage New PR Photos With Son To Cover Up Rocco’s Smoking Adventures?
The custody battle between Madonna and Guy Ritchie has just grown more intense. While much of the general public and the tabloid media has sided with Guy and his son Rocco, photos of the teenager smoking something that doesn’t quite look like a regular cigarette have made the rounds. People has the news.
“Over the weekend, U.K.’s The Sun posted photos of the exes’ underage son Rocco allegedly smoking with friends in London while under his father’s care. ‘This is exactly what Madonna has been afraid of,’ a source tells PEOPLE. ‘Rocco still isn’t back in school – and now this. He is just a rebellious teenager, but he needs guidance and direction from his father.'”
As People adds, Rocco had been on tour for a few months with Madonna but left to go live with his father in the UK allegedly after Madonna took his phone away for not doing his homework. It’s also said that Rocco prefers his father’s laid-back parenting style.
As the photos went viral Monday morning, pictures of Guy Richie innocently riding his bicycle with son Rocco appeared. In the pictures, both Rocco and Guy Ritchie are smiling with glee and look like the perfect father and son. As usual, the Daily Mail was first to post the pictures and described the innocent bike ride.
“So it’s unsurprising that Rocco Ritchie was spotted enjoying another relaxed day with his doting dad, Guy Ritchie, on Monday. The pair were seen cycling throughout West London in casual outfits as they indulged in some much-needed father/son time amid allegations of escalating wider family drama.”
However, not everybody is falling for the cute pictures.

The comments after the article on People that talked about the photos have several different viewpoints.
“Apples do not fall far from the tree. Rocco is stupid to be smoking a joint in public view head case like his mom. I don’t think this fairs well for Guy,” says commenter carol.
“He wants to be around his dad and not one of Madonna’s boy-toys, who are close to her age. He seems tired of the traveling around the world and wants a stable home life,” says chibi.
According to Us Weekly, Madonna thinks Guy Ritchie is trying to brainwash Rocco.
“An insider says Madonna blames her ex-husband for her son’s decision. The pair’s strained marriage turned into an acrimonious uncoupling in late 2008. (Without a prenup, Madonna was forced to hand over $75 million of her fortune.) Nearly a decade later, claims the Madonna insider, Ritchie’s contempt for her is still raw.”
It’s pretty obvious Mr. Ritchie isn’t a fan of his former wife. Not only has he claimed that sleeping with her was like cuddling up to a piece of gristle, but has also used the word “retarded” to describe the Queen of Pop. According to TMZ, the custody case has been moved to March 3, allegedly to give both sides time to come to an agreement. Judging by Madonna’s refusal to go for second-best (baby) and the fact that the latest pictures of Rocco could be seen as a blow to team Ritchie, the March 3 date is just about set in stone.
