It seems with every passing week there is a new cast announcement for Fear The Walking Dead. This week is no exception. According to Den of Geek, Dougray Scott (Hemlock Grove) has been cast in Season 2 of Fear The Walking Dead. While there is no news on the character he will play, Jo Blow’s Arrow In The Head has stated the role will be recurring.

Deadline has also announced that Veronica Diaz will joining the cast of Fear The Walking Dead in Season 2. Luckily, there is more details on her recurring role. She will be playing Vanessa and is described as “smart and deceptive, with a look of innocence, someone who throws herself into her work with reckless abandon.” Could she be an official? Or is she someone perhaps on Flight 462?

Speaking of Flight 462, the latest teaser video shows what could potentially be the plane involved in the mini episodes that were played over the course of the first half of Season 6 of The Walking Dead. As fans will know, Flight 462 will result in a new character being introduced in Season 2 of Fear The Walking Dead. While the newest trailer doesn’t show any new footage from Season 2, it does show the shadow of a plane flying over the water at the very end. Considering AMC have promised Fear The Walking Dead will take to the seas in Season 2 with Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) being the owner of a luxury boat, could this be how Flight 462 is introduced in Season 2? Could the plane crash into the ocean near where Strand and Travis’ group is situated?

As well as the new cast announcements in relation to Season 2, there have been some new cast members added to the Season 2 cast list on Fear’s IMDb page. The following actors have been listed for one episode each in Season 2 of Fear The Walking Dead. These actors will appear in several different episodes, but let’s have a closer look and see if we can make some assumptions about upcoming storylines.

Michelle Ang… Charlie (1 episode, 2016)
Dan Donohue… Michael (1 episode, 2016)
Gary Kraus… Ian (1 episode, 2016)
Brendan Meyer… Jake Powell (1 episode, 2016)
Noelle Therese Mulligan… Water Zombie (1 episode, 2016)
Robert Gordon Spencer… Officer Jones (1 episode, 2016)
Regen Wilson… Tom (1 episode, 2016)
Josh Wingate… Ben (1 episode, 2016)

Michelle Ang and Brendan Meyer are both names you might recognize from Flight 462. Interesting to note is the fact they are listed as appearing in Episode 3 of Season 2. It looks like fans may have to wait a little while before Flight 462 collides with Fear The Walking Dead.

Noelle Therese Mulligan will appear in Episode 2 of Fear The Walking Dead as a water zombie. While at first I thought she might be one of the Flight 462 passengers, it seems she might actually be someone Strand’s group might encounter instead.

Robert Gordon Spencer is listed as playing an officer in the Season 2 premiere episode. So while it looks like the Season 1 finale ended with the main group getting ready to set sail, it seems there will be at least one encounter with officials before the group heads to the open seas.

The remaining cast are listed as appearing in episodes three and four of Fear’s second season. Considering there is no information given beyond the characters names, it is really hard to speculate on just how significant these casting are yet. Only tuning into Season 2 of Fear The Walking Dead will reveal all.
