Kim Kardashian Supports Lamar Odom As ‘KUWTK’ Star & Khloe Kardashian Flaunt His Miracle Recovery With Hike

Kim Kardashian is showing that when it comes to supporting her sister Khloe’s efforts to help her estranged husband, Lamar Odom, in his recovery after a drug overdose, she’s there all the way. And that even includes Super Bowl Sunday. Amid all the prep for celebrating the big game, Kim took time out to join her sister and Lamar on a hike, reported People.

Odom was discovered unconscious in a brothel in Nevada, then spent months in a hospital. Since that time, his recovery has been noticeable. And as proof, Kim posted a pic from their hike revealing that Lamar had been well enough to go with them.

“Super Soul Sunday time before Super Bowl Sunday time with Khloe & Lamar,” wrote Kim.

For Odom, seeking to enjoy life since his overdose still has challenges, a source told People.

“He still needs help walking,” revealed the source. “Lamar is not driving himself and instead has a driver. Whenever he leaves the house, he looks happy. He looks alert and often smiles. He is definitely looking more like the old Lamar.”

Odom initially was hospitalized in Las Vegas after he was discovered in that Nevada brothel. He then was moved to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, which released him last month. Odom is undergoing home therapy and out-patient therapy.

But at this point, Kim is making it clear that she’s proud of just how far Lamar has come by live-streaming that hike, reported Us Weekly.

In addition to Kardashian West and Khloe, Odom has been “spending a lot of time” with Kanye West, revealed an insider to Us.

But that hike marks a milestone for Lamar after so many months limited to a hospital. Odom now is staying in a private facility, which is close to Kardashian’s mansion. As for how his estranged wife feels about the progress Lamar has shown?

“It’s such a relief,” she admitted. “It was terrifying and scary. No one knew what was going to happen. And what’s crazy is because he’s an athlete, I really think having so many years of working out every single day — he wasn’t even walking three weeks ago, and now he’s walking.”

The future looks brighter now for both the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and Odom, pointed out Us Weekly.

Underscoring her joy, the 31-year-old reality TV star turned to Instagram to share a quote and her thoughts on it for her fans. Her followers number more than 41 million.

“You may have had unfair things happen, but know that the depth of your pain is an indication of the height of your future,” read the quote posted by Kardashian.

She then took time to interpret the meaning of that quote in her life, incorporating her religious beliefs in the discussion.

“Everything happens for a reason… Right?! I’m a firm believer of this saying. We may not understand why we have to walk a certain path or why when it rains, it pours but trust that God has a plan. ‘Walk by faith, not by sight.’ We must lose in order to gain.”

Moreover, added Kardashian, she believes that the darkest times offer the biggest lessons.

“Lessons are best taught through our darkest hour,” pointed out Khloe. “Through crying and defeat. Through sorrow and loss. All of my pain or sadness has only built my strength, soul, character and wisdom. One day, all of our trials and tribulations will add up and make perfect sense. Until that day comes, learn to laugh at confusion and dance in the rain.”

Kardashian concluded her insights with a Biblical quote.

“The pain that you have been feeling, can’t compare to the joy that’s coming’ Romans 8:18.”

The 31-year-old once reflected that 2015 marked the “worst year of my life.” The contributing factors to that comment included the near-death overdose of Lamar, followed by the months that Odom spent in a hospital with the uncertainty that he would recover.
