‘The Jungle Book’ Super Bowl Commercial Has The ‘Bare Necessities’ Required To Be Amazing [Watch]

The new trailer for the live-action version of Disney’s The Jungle Book just aired during the Super Bowl, and it appears to be everything fans could hope for so far.

In case you missed the last one, The Inquisitr covered the release of the first trailer below.

Even in live action, the jungle looks just as lush and vibrant as ever in this HD remake of the Disney classic. And the crazy part is that all of scenery was shot in 100 percent CGI, The Inquisitr added.

The JungleBook remake will seamlessly blend live-action with photorealistic CGI animals and environments, using the latest technology.

Cinema Blend reports that the new version will be directed by Jon Favreau— famed director of Chef, Iron Man, and the cult classic Elf. Popular Jungle Book character’s Mowgli, Baloo, Bagheera, and King Louie made their triumphant return on the Rudyard Kipling inspired story.

Except this time, everyone’s favorite Indian jungle-dwelling creatures will be voiced by an all star cast. Mowgli — the protagonist of the Jungle book — will be played by newcomer Neel Sethi as shown in the Super Bowl commercial.

Mowgli the man-cub will embark in an epic adventure about throughout the jungle just like in the book and Disney film.

Trouble brews for young Mowgli when the vicious Shere Kahn vows to eliminate young Mowgli, perceiving him as a potential threat to the Jungle.

Shere Khan will have the honor of having his fierce reservations for Mowgli voiced by none other than Beasts of No Nation standout, Idris Elba.

A rather fitting casting option by The Jungle Book as Elba seems to have a penchant for prolifically playing fierce characters given his track record.

And after learning that he (Mowgli) is no longer allowed in the Jungle, Mowgli sets off on a journey his friend/mentor Bagheera who is often contradicted by the fun-loving free-spirited bear, Baloo.

Ben Kingsley will take the role of Bagheera while funny-man Bill Murray play Baloo.

Scarlet Johansson will attempt to seduce the man-cub to her whims as she graces the voice of Kaa. The sneaky Python still seems to be up to his old tricks in the Jungle Book remake.

Lastly, Christopher Walken will claim the role of King Louie. The orangutan who tries to who tries to convince Mowgli give him the deadly “red flower.”

Star Wars cast member, Lupita Nyong’o, will voice of the adamantly protective mother wolf, Raksha, of Mowgli. Interestly enough, Nyong’o reprises yet another CGI animated role in a Disney film.

The 12 Years A Slave lead noted that she would like to make a departure from such roles for a bit and tryout different form of acting — Like CGI and voice over acting.

Nyong’o began to live up to her statement with her role as Paz, in Star Wars. In a quote reported by NBC News, she said the following.

“I was looking for a role that was a complete departure from Patsy and 12 years – [it] was a very unique experience and one that I will forever hold dear to my heart. But the thing is, where do you go from there? I didn’t want to go anywhere that reminded me of it. When [director] J.J. [Abrams] told me about Maz, to me it was the exact thing I was looking for: A role that meant I got to play a character not limited by her physical circumstances because Patsey was very much limited.”

Nyong’o will get to explore this form of acting even more in The Jungle Book.

Who knows what other kind of spin Favreau will put into the new Jungle Book? We’ll just have to wait until April 15 of this year to find out.
