Robert Downey Jr. Surprises Young Iron Man Fans At Comic-Con [Video]


Robert Downey Jr. waited backstage and then surprised a group of young Iron Man fans over the weekend while attending the popular Comic-Con festival.

The young Iron Man fans were dressed up in their own homemade Iron Man costumes which included everything from recycled sporting equipment to goatees drawn onto little faces with the help of Sharpie markers.

Youngsters were ushered on to the stage to show off their hard work and dedication to the series where they were asked to shout out Iron Man’s name. After the second attempt Robert Downey Jr. appeared from behind the stage.

If you are unfamiliar with the Iron Man series, Downey Jr. plays billionaire Tony Stark, the same man who dons the Iron Man suit while fighting the injustices of the world.

The A-lister not only appeared on stage, he stopped to take pictures with the kids while sporting a pair of dark sunglasses the entire time.

Robert Downey Jr. was at Comic-Con to promote his new movie Iron Man 3 which will arrive in the Summer of 2013.

Downey Jr. wasn’t the only actor at Comic-Con, the show this year has also seen the likes of Mila Kunis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michelle Williams and various other A-listers in attendance for the promotion of their own flicks.
