Powerball Winners And Winning Numbers For Feb. 6, Jackpot Rolls To $157 Million

The Powerball winning numbers and winners for Feb. 6 are in, and things are looking good for those wanting another huge jackpot. There hasn’t been a Powerball jackpot winner since Powerball reached $1.58 billion on Jan 13. That drawing sparked Powerball fever nationwide and prompted people to cross state borders and wait in ridiculously long lines in order to play Powerball. Since that billion-dollar jackpot drawing, Powerball has enjoyed renewed success with many states reporting they have seen record sales. The Powerball jackpot for Feb. 6 was $136 million with an estimated cash value of $87.8 million. There was no jackpot winner in last night’s drawing, and the Powerball jackpot has rolled to $157 million with an estimated cash value of $101.7 million.

You can watch last night’s Powerball drawing as it streamed live in the video below. Last night’s winning Powerball numbers are: 4, 13, 31, 36, and 52. The Powerball is 8. The Power Play is 3.

Some people only play lottery jackpot games like Mega Millions and Powerball once the jackpot reaches $100,000,000. Mega Millions has rolled and the next drawing has a jackpot of $80 million. As Powerball has steadily climbed since Jan. 13, many are asking how long it will be before the next billion-dollar jackpot appears. Due to changes in the way Powerball is played that went into effect in Oct. 2015, the jackpot is harder to win, while it’s easier to win non-jackpot prizes. There were three winning tickets sold in the epic $1.58 billion jackpot. As of the time of this writing, the owners of the winning tickets in California and Florida have yet to come forward. A lucky Tennessee couple, John and Lisa Robinson, have come forward to claim their share in the jackpot that was split three ways. Like many recent Powerball winners, the Robinsons used a Quick Pick, or Easy Pick ticket, to win the Powerball jackpot.

Powerball jackpot drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday night at 11 p.m. ET. The drawings are held live from the Florida Lottery studios located in Tallahassee, Florida. You can watch all Powerball and Mega Millions drawings here at Inquisitr, where live coverage is provided including videos, winning numbers as well as news about the winners.

Right now, one of the most concerning issues surrounding lottery winners, is tickets being rejected due to being damaged.

An incident occurred in California, where a man named Brandy Milliner had purchased a SuperLotto ticket, matched the winning numbers, and then sent it to the California Lottery in order to claim his prize. At first, he received a confirmation letter stating he was a winner and would hear back about receiving his money. The next thing he received was a letter stating that he wouldn’t be getting the money after all, because the ticket was too damaged to be processed. Milliner filed a lawsuit against the California Lottery in order to receive his money.

There were no Powerball jackpot winners last night, nor were there any Match 5 winners who used the Power Play for a win of $2 million. There was one winning ticket sold in Illinois that was a Match 5. That lucky Powerball ticket holder won $1 million. There were 794,265 winners in the Feb. 6 Powerball, and a total of $7,477,023 won in non-jackpot prizes. There were a number of Match 4 plus the Powerball winners last night who will enjoy a nice boost to their financial portfolio. There were 21 Match 4 plus the Powerball winners who won $50,000. There were three winners who used the Power Play for a total win of $150,000 each.

Powerball is the most popular lottery jackpot game in the U.S. As the jackpot continues to rise, more people will play for the first time. The next drawing takes place on Wednesday, Feb. 9 at 11 p.m., ET. You can watch that drawing live here at the Inquisitr.
