Watch India Vs. Namibia U19 Cricket World Cup Streaming Live: Quarterfinal, 3-Time Champs Vs. Inspiring Underdogs

India cricket fans can watch their Under 19 team streaming live online as India faces inspirational underdog Namibia in the second U19 Cricket World Cup quarterfinal Saturday morning — Friday evening in the United States — as the Boys in Blue try to take one step closer to a record fourth victory in the world’s top international youth tournament.

Standing in their way will be the surprising Nambia side that captured the imagination of cricket fans worldwide when they qualified for the knockout round by shocking defending U19 World Cup champions South Africa with a two-wicket win on January 31.

Namibia placed 14th in the 2014 edition of the U19 Cricket World Cup, and had never placed higher than 11th, which happened in 2008. Now they stand two wins away from a place in the World Cup Final.

Of course, neither of those wins will come easily, and in their game against India, they face the tournament favorites and three-time champions. But the African upstarts say that while they know they face a daunting task, they are not intimidated.

“Everyone in the team is excited about the challenge on Saturday and we all know we are going to be tested but we believe we can beat India. We have prepared well and everyone is ready,” Coach Rangarirai Manyande told The Namibian newspaper on Friday.

“Our strength has been our team spirit. We play great as a team,” paceman and Captain Zane Green added. “I am very happy with the performance so far but playing India will obviously be a new experience.”

India, in the final match of their group stage, defeated another Cinderella quarterfinalist, Nepal. To see highlights of that match, watch the video below.

For United States fans, that start time will be 10 p.m. Eastern Time on the previous night, Friday, February 5, and at 7 p.m. Pacific Time.

While India will be expected to dominate the match, the largely unknown and unheralded Namibian players pose something of a wild card for India. But Captain Ishan Kishan said that India plans to stick to their usual approach, regardless of the opponent.

“We have not seen Namibia play but they must obviously be doing well to get to this stage,” Kishan said. “The idea is to stick to the basics and focus on our plans.”

In the first quarterfinal match of the U19 Cricket World Cup, the Bangladesh Young Tigers made history by defeating Nepal in a thriller, advancing to the semifinal round of a Cricket World Cup for the first time for any level of team in the country’s cricket history.
