Finally, it appears as if WWE is getting WrestleMania 32 together as the card is starting to be built and big-time names are rumored to be appearing. Still, there are a lot of holes thanks to numerous injuries taking out top superstars through the pay-per-view. With those gaps, WWE has reached out to a lot of former talent to show up at the event, and now there is a rumor going around that Hulk Hogan will be there too.
Before the summer in 2015, Hogan was talking about how he had spoken with Vince McMahon about possibly coming back for one more match. That match was rumored to take place at WrestleMania 32, and would have been Hogan’s “retirement” match, so to speak.
Not long after that, the huge controversy came about with Hogan’s racial comments and WWE pretty much scrubbed any existence of the Hulkster from their history. It was believed that he would never appear for the company again, but have things settled down and changed?
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s no longer a matter of “if” but more a matter of “when” Hulk Hogan will return to WWE.
The talk going around now is that WWE will bring back Hulk Hogan since things have died down after the racism scandal from last year. It’s believed that fans may have forgotten about the situation and would simply cheer for Hogan again upon hearing his music and seeing him walk down the aisle to the ring.
WrestleZone is stating that Hogan knows he was in the doghouse with WWE and is still kind of stuck there. That’s why he isn’t over-asking for the money that it would take for him to appear at WrestleMania 32.
Hogan is reportedly asking for a “shockingly low” amount of money for any type of appearances that weekend. Some are saying it’s actually just around 10 percent of his normal asking price for an appearance.
Some conventions and events happening during WrestleMania 32 weekend have asked Hulk Hogan to appear for them. The problem is, he’s starting to give people the impression that he’s going to be appearing at WrestleMania 32 and won’t be available.
It is kind of odd that Hogan would turn down any kind of paycheck or a higher amount of money unless he was absolutely sure that WWE was bringing him back.
Back at WrestleMania XXX, Hulk Hogan opened up the show with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and The Rock in New Orleans. It was a fantastic opening segment that the fans really thought was great, and one that brought a number of huge names together.
It’s already known that The Rock and Austin are confirmed to appear at WrestleMania 32. WWE has attempted to get both Shawn Michaels and Batista for the event as well, and rumor has it that the promotion wanted one of those four to be the special guest referee of the main event.
WWE is really trying to fill up the event so that it is absolutely huge for the Texas crowd. Injuries are really affecting the card and these big names are likely to miss the PPV:
- Daniel Bryan
- Randy Orton
- John Cena
- Tyson Kidd
- Seth Rollins
Cageside Seats has reported that if Hulk Hogan doesn’t show up at WrestleMania 32, then he is likely going to return to WWE shortly afterward.
After less than a year removed from the racism scandal that saw Hulk Hogan obliterated from the WWE record books, he may end up returning and it could be in a big way. WrestleMania 32 needs some star power and it’s possible that The Hulkster could be back for it, but if he isn’t, listen for “Real American” a short time later.
