Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are officially on! The hot young stars opened up about their relationship in recent interviews. They also showed off their hot new romance in Zayn’s debut solo video for “Pillowtalk.”
Zayn Malik, 23, and Gigi Hadid, 20, have been getting serious even though they have only been dating for a few months. After calling Hadid a “good friend,” the former One Direction member finally confessed that he’s dating the model during an interview on Zach Sang & the Gang.
Radio personality Jill asked Malik a question from a fan, “Was it cool to have your girlfriend in the video?”
“Yeah, that was cool. It was something different. We enjoyed it, it was fun. Had a lot of fun on set,” the singer casually responded.
Zayn was then asked, “No one easier to make out with than your own girlfriend, right?” to which he replied, “Exactly,” confirming that the two are dating.
This came right around the same time that Gigi Hadid flashed some underboob on the cover of the March 2015 issue of Love magazine. The beauty rocks a California crop top with light wash jeans, blue eye shadow, and a chunky black choker. Hadid also addressed her high-profile relationship with the sexy singer. She explained what it’s like to date the former boy bander.
“It’s the same thing as dating someone within in the industry rather than out of the industry. You only understand it when you’re literally experiencing it.”
Gigi is finding her new relationship to be quite different from her previous relationship with Joe Jonas. An insider revealed to E! News that Zayn and Gigi are getting more serious and that even their friends believe their love will last. The alleged snoop also explained how the couple interacted on the set of their new music video.
“Zayn and Gigi are getting more serious. Gigi was so excited when Zayn asked her to be in his music video. They both acted very professional on set but it was very obvious that they were in love. They couldn’t stop flirting with each other. Gigi and Bella really like the fact that they are in music videos with their boyfriends.”
There are some fans who will argue that Hadid looked pretty serious with Jonas, too, before they ended their relationship in November. They even went on double-dates with Taylor Swift, who’s Hadid’s BFF and Jonas’ ex-girlfriend. But the source claims that the relationships couldn’t be any more different.
“This relationship is very different than when she was with Jonas. Her friends think this is going to last!”
If Zayn’s interview is not enough proof for you, he was recently spotted on a date with the stunner who was dressed up in an Adidas tracksuit. The photogenic couple was also spotted apartment hunting in New York City and on several dates at The Nice Guy restaurant and lounge.
There’s no denying that Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are an attractive couple and their chemistry is off the charts, but will their relationship really last? They could face the music videos couple’s curse, especially since Hadid’s been hit with it twice. She previously starred in Cody Simpson’s “Flower” music video and directed Joe Jonas and DNCE’s “Cake By The Ocean” music video.
You would think Gigi would have learned her lesson. But nope. Besides, who can’t resist kissing Zayn on camera?
Other famous couples hit by the music video curse include Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Bennifer a.k.a. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, Heidi Klum and Seal, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, Britney Spears and Jason Trawick, Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks, and Robin Thicke and Paula Patton.
There’s also Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, who were hit by both the music video and reality television couples’ curse.

But there are plenty of couples who have defied the curse, such as Beyoncé and Jay Z, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, and Chrissy Teigen and John Legend.
