Kurt Cobain’s Ex Girlfriend Calls Courtney Love A Liar

Kurt Cobain fans are usually very passionate about Courtney Love and the influence she had on Cobain during their relationship. The pair were married until Cobain took his life, and while there has been a popular conspiracy about Love’s involvement in Kurt’s death, no one close to Kurt has spoken about Courtney in a bad light in a long time.

Enter in Kurt Cobain’s ex-girlfriend Mary Lou Lord. Diffuser reports that the girlfriend of the late Nirvana singer went off on Courtney Love for the first time. Love, who recently opened up about Cobain as part of press for the biopic Montage of Heck, was the main target of Mary Lou Lord’s Facebook posting.

Mary Lou Lord wrote two lengthy posts about Courtney Love and her alleged intensions when it comes to Kurt Cobain. Although this isn’t the first time Love has been accused of being fame hungry, the posts seem to be a bit more vemenous than quotes in the past.

Of the insults she hurls at the Hole singer, she calls her a “sociopath” and “fame mongering” among other names. Cobain’s ex accuses Love of defamation of character following the 1994 death of then husband Kurt.

“I just sat, silently, and watched her lie about me (and everything and everyone else) She built her world, and manipulated other people’s lives by being the best LIAR and best actress in the world. Something that twisted and f—ed with a lot of good people.”

She went on to say that the reason why she has remained silent all these years is out of respect for Kurt and Courtney’s child Frances Bean Cobain. She didn’t want Frances, who has had a tumultuous relationship with her mother, to be influenced by her words.

As it turns out, Montage of Heck was a huge turning point in Lord coming forward with her accusations. In the Facebook post, she claims that Love lied about their love for record sales and press.

“That was one of the other incredibly disturbing aspects of Courtney’s lies. How it was also a total defamation of Kurt’s character within the context of her lie, and her wording…Of course, Hole’s Live Through This, was #1. And, for weeks after this, it was HER not ME who was bringing attention to any involvement I might have had with him. I felt like a dork. I NEVER brought it up in interviews. It was her who planted any of the f—ed up attention it got to begin with. I just wanted to hide and cry.”

After the post was met with some backlash she released various other statements.

“It was about the Hell Courtney Love put ME through and how it’s taken a long time to get over it. And these new movies out are like a sh–y flashback and they make me angry that I didn’t speak up back then. But I never said I thought she was the mastermind behind his death, or, had anything to do with it.”

In addition, Lord goes on to say that she has been abused by Kurt’s wife for decades following his death. She says that Courtney sent her messages by writing “you s–k” in lipstick or “f–k you” on her car windshield, and if there was a doubt who wrote those messages, Lord claims that Courtney signed them by name.

Since Lord wrote the posts and started to trend as a news story, she has decided to delete the posts and instead is attacking the media for getting her story “wrong.”
