Microsoft says do not want to Razorfish

Microsoft has delivered a serious do not want to digital ad agency Razorfish by putting it on the market. Razorfish ended up in Microsoft’s hands as part of the $6 billion takeover for aQuantive two years ago.

According to reports, Microsoft has hired Morgan Stanley to sell Razorfish and French company Publicis Groupe could be a buyer.

Valuations according to FT are at the $600-$700 million mark. Reports last year suggested WPP Groupe might have been interested in buying at around $800 million.

Seattle based Razorfish employs 2,000 people.
