Kris Jenner Unaware Of Nicole Brown Abuse, Feels ‘Sick’ About It

In the first episode of The People vs O.J. Simpson, we see a scene that shows Kris Jenner (played by Selma Blair) learning about Nicole Brown’s abuse at the hands of her ex-husband, O.J. Simpson. The series shows Kris learning at Nicole Brown’s funeral, where there’s talk that O.J. may be guilty of her heinous murder.

Jenner, who has kept most talk of Nicole Brown at a hush until now, said that at the time, she didn’t have a clue about Nicole Brown’s abuse that she endured while she was still alive. Brown was a good friend of Jenner’s; such a good friend that Kris named Kendall after Nicole by giving her Nicole’s name as her middle name. She also showed up at the trial of the century in maternity wear that Nicole gave her before she was murdered.

In an interview with People magazine, Jenner opens up about the time. People magazine asserts that the scene where Jenner finds out about the abuse is fictionalized for television, unlike the scene where O.J. attempts to commit suicide in Kim “Kimmy” Kardashian’s childhood bedroom.

Jenner said in the interview that her heart breaks when she thinks about everything she had no knowledge of, which includes the abuse Nicole went through.

“I saw all the pictures and the police reports, and I heard the tapes of her calling 911, and that was stuff I didn’t know anything about [at the time]. It’s wild that she kept that from us. So I feel bad. I beat myself up because I feel like I wasn’t paying attention. Like, How did I miss this?”

She continued, “They say it’s very typical in an abusive relationship that the woman doesn’t really speak out about how she’s being treated. And that I will always feel sick about it – that she didn’t really or couldn’t tell any of us what was going on. I look back on some of that stuff and I go, ‘Oh, now I get it,’ Some things come to my memory and then I realize that’s what was going on there.”

As the Inquisitr reported, just a day before the mini-series was set to air, family vacation photos leaked of O.J. Simpson and Nicole Brown, smiling ear to ear with the Kardashian clan.

Following Nicole’s murder, Kris Jenner went to the trial to support her ex-husband Robert Kardashian and Brown’s family. Kardashian was one member of O.J.’s dream team of lawyers, and he helped Simpson get acquitted. She said given her ex’s position on the case and wanting to stay faithful to her late friend, it was a “stressful” time.

Jenner said that it was “excruciating” to see Nicole Brown’s family go through the trial and hear everyone comb through the details of Nicole’s murder. The trial was extensive, and Jenner just wanted it to be over due to the stress.

In the latest report to come from the Inquisitr, Jenner details that Simpson told her he didn’t do it years ago, although she still has her doubts.

Back in 1994, Jenner told Good Morning America that she spoke with Simpson from jail. Of their exchange, she said that he told her that he didn’t kill Nicole, even though she didn’t bring it up. Simpson is currently serving a 30 plus year sentence for an unrelated charge.
