‘RHOP’ Star Gizelle Bryant’s Ex-Husband Caught Up In Serious Legal Problems

Gizelle Bryant may have realized that something was fishy about her husband a few years ago when she decided to divorce him. As it turns out, Gizelle’s husband was cheating on her with another woman. But based on a new report, it sounds like Bryant’s ex-husband could be in deep trouble with the IRS, as well. According to a new Radar Online report, Gizelle Bryant’s ex, Jamal Bryant, apparently owes quite a bit of money.

Jamal has made quite the name for himself as the leader of a major megachurch, but even powerful people need to pay their taxes. Apparently, the money may have looked better in his bank account than with the IRS. The report reveals that he has been hit with a tax lien for no less than $440,982. This has nothing to do with Gizelle Bryant, as they divorced years ago, but one can imagine that she isn’t pleased with it, as they still share custody of their children.

And this isn’t a new problem. Apparently, Jamal has had trouble paying his taxes for years, as the first issues surfaced back in 2009. However, another lien was filed back in August of last year, and he is still struggling to pay the IRS what he owes them. Apparently, the State of Maryland filed a lien against him for $16,393, but that number was released on October 16 of the same year, according to the report. Additional liens were added on November 15, 2010, for $3,139, and again on July 12, 2011, for $17,090. This was just the beginning. About two years later, the IRS got involved to protect the state, adding, another lien against Bryant on October 2 for $283,482 in 2012.

About six months later, the IRS “filed another one for $55,440 on Feb. 25, 2013, a third one on April 1, 2014 for $52,423, and a fourth for $13,015 on Nov. 17, 2014,” according to Radar Online. This information is just being made public now, as his ex-wife, Gizelle, is on The Real Housewives of Potomac. He has yet to make an appearance on the show, but she did hint that he has tried to come back in her life. Sadly for him, Gizelle Bryant isn’t having it.

When asked about the tax liens filed against him, a rep for the pastor revealed that “those issues are being rectified and nothing is outstanding,” according to Radar Online, revealing that issues had been present and that Jamal wasn’t great at paying his taxes.

Of course, the tax issues are just the beginning for Gizelle Bryant’s ex. When it comes to his failed marriage, Gizelle told the world on The Real Housewives of Potomac that the pastor was not a faithful husband. Apparently, he didn’t practice or preach his own vows to his wife. And he didn’t even tell Gizelle about the affair.

“Actually, the young lady told me,” Gizelle Bryant has previously revealed to OK! Magazine, as reported by Radar Online, adding, “She called me and told me. That was a lovely day. It was extremely isolating and lonely because I really felt like I didn’t have anyone to talk to because there was such a spotlight on he and I in Baltimore. I really had to lean on my true friends and family to get me through it.”

Of course, Bryant may be stressed out about her husband’s affair and his tax problem, and she could be taking it out on her younger co-star. According to Daily Mail, Gizelle slammed Ashley Darby when she first met her, calling her names.
