The publication shared the details of the entertaining chat with Fonda, and the topics are not at all surprising when reminded that the discussion is with the vivacious star. On the subject of Jennifer Lawrence, Fonda admits her jealousy for the 25-year-old Joy actress.

“There’s very few that come along like that. I’m just mesmerized by her.”

Lawrence has certainly made quite an impact on the entertainment industry, not only because of her talent and onscreen beauty but because of her dynamic manner that allows her to voice her opinions openly without hesitation on a number of issues that are predominantly treated as if taboo. The Hollywood beauty has been sure draw attention to the pay gap between leading ladies and leading men in the industry. She also is sure to be an advocate for feminism.

All that aside, Lawrence has proven that on top of all of these appealing characteristics, she is also absolutely hilarious. So much so that Jen has teamed up with new pal and funny girl Amy Schumer to write, produce, and star in their own comedy.

New information about JLaw’s endeavors, however, also include the actress starring in her own comedy show. The Irish Examiner relays that Lawrence is rumored to be teaming up with Schumer to put the television comedy show together.

“The 25-year-old actress is reportedly teaming up with her 34-year-old pal – who she has also been working with on a movie screenplay – for a Comedy Central programme in which they will play heightened versions of themselves.”

A source close to the star spoke on the matter of the talks had between Lawrence and Schumer about collaborating on a comedy TV program.

“Jennifer is obsessed with reality TV – in particular ‘The Real Housewives’ – so when Amy first proposed the idea of a spoof reality show, she was immediately enthusiastic. She loves the idea of being part of a show that depicts female friendship honestly and satirises Hollywood at the same time.”

Still a bit of a touchy subject for Jen, yet one she is able to laugh off, is that of the break-up she experienced with on-and-off-again boyfriend Chris Martin, who is the frontman for the band Coldplay. The source notes that material within the show’s script may be cause for concern for Martin, as Lawrence is rumored to be working the subject matter into the show’s action and comedy sketches.

“Few things will be off-limits and considering how things ended with Chris, there is definitely cause for him to be concerned. Jennifer doesn’t feel she owes Chris anything.”

With Lawrence and Schumer teaming up on the program, the project is bound to be a success and result in some fantastic comedy. The two are still working away on the screenplay for the movie they are set to star in. Last month, Lawrence reported the duo had officially finished the first draft of the screenplay and shared a bit about the plot, as well as about the character she is set to play.

Entertainment Weekly gave a brief summation of the star’s words used to describe her character verses that of Schumer’s in the screenplay.

“The Joy star announced the project to the New York Times over the summer, and later revealed Schumer will play a flight attendant who has her life together, while the Oscar winner plays a ‘mess.'”
