‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Aiden Jennings To Return, But How?

Days of Our Lives fans are going to see a very familiar face return to Salem later this year. It’s been confirmed that actor Daniel Cosgrove will be returning to the NBC soap to reprise his character of Aiden Jennings, who was killed by Bo Brady in late 2015.

Of course many soaps, including Days of Our Lives, have made it a habit to bring characters back from the dead, some more than once, but why bring back Aiden, and how will they explain his return?

According to popular Days of Our Lives blogger Jason 47, the return of Aiden Jennings could be explained thanks to Salem’s most evil family, the DiMeras. It’s possible that Stefano and/or Andre DiMera found a look-alike for Aiden and convinced him to kill hill his fiance Hope Brady on their wedding night in order to collect her life insurance policy money. While this sounds completely crazy, the DiMera family has done this before, finding look-alike people for characters such as Marlena, Rafe, Kristen, and Hope, and using them to carry out their dastardly plans.

If this is true, then where has the real Aiden Jennings been this entire time, and how will his return impact Hope Brady, who seems to be slowly falling for Rafe Hernandez as well as his son, Chase Jennings, who is unraveling without either of his biological parents and only Hope and Ciara to call family?

However, Days of Our Lives viewers may also see Aiden Jennings as a sort of ghost or spirit, but the report seems to suggest that Daniel Cosgrove will be back for more than just a quick one day stint or arc on the soap, so he may be returning for the long haul, which would bring with it a lot of questions to answer and so many feelings for Hope to deal with, and doesn’t she have enough on her plate right now?

Aiden tried to kill her on her wedding night, the love of her life, Bo Brady, returned to Salem after being a prisoner for months and months only to die from a brain tumor, she was arrested for murdering a man she didn’t kill and is currently covering up the murder of Stefano DiMera, which she did commit, all while falling for her former partner, Rafe Herandez, and raising Ciara and Chase by herself. Days of Our Lives fans know that Hope Brady is tough and a survivor, but all of this has to be causing her to have a mental break and the drama is seemingly not going to stop for the DOOL fan favorite.

So, how did fans find out about Aiden Jennings return to Days of Our Lives? Well, that’s an interesting story in itself. It seems that a new TV commercial for Soap Opera Digest was played on air and showed the cover for an upcoming issue, likely next week’s magazine, and revealed that Daniel Cosgrove was, in fact, going to reprise the role of Aiden Jennings later this year.

While details about Aiden’s return to Salem are being kept extremely quiet, fans have been blowing up the inter-webs discussing the character return, and the impact it will have on those in Salem, as well as more Days of Our Lives spoilers. The news leaks at an interesting time as February sweeps are about to be set off in to full swing, and the drama on the long running NBC soap opera should be amped up over the new few weeks, much like it has been since the show’s 50th anniversary back in November of 2015.
